+1

FFS, what's the rush with Kreuzer, anyway? Hammer's in good nick, Warnock available, Carlos holding his own, Hendo going OK for the Ants, no Merrett. Great opportunity to increase his workload in the Ants and have him fit and firing for the Swannies and Weagles, a couple of challenging games. One more in the Ants for mine, though I'm sure they'll pick him on the extended bench just to keep us all guessing.

We can always throw Hendo back if Clarke or Browney are having blinders, too.

Exactly. I'd like them make Kruezer demand to be included with on-field form over 2-3 weeks - not put him in
because he's now played 95% of a VFL game. History littered with blokes coming back too early, pretty rare
for them to be considered too late.

What to do with a fit Warnock, Hampson and Kruezer...

Oh what a dilemma to have :)

That's all I expect as well.

How about making Juddy the sub ?

Funny you say that Rexy. I was going to include that in my post but thought you would get on my back about being complacent again.

Funny you say this, Juddy looks a bit jaded, as in the game last week against Port. didn't show his usual zest, and maybe needs a half rest. He has been buffeted from pillar to post everytime he fronts up. He had an injured ankle a couple of weeks ago, I'm just wondering whether it is completely right, or did they inject his ankle with cortisone last week? I know it may sound arrogant, but with 11 hard games to go, & us playing a lower side in Brisbane this week, should we rest/nurse/put in cotton wool, some of our better players al la Collingwood have done with Swan and others. The filth call it, "Man management". At the moment, we probably have the depth to do something similar don't you think?

If he can play he won't be played as a sub....if he needs a break play him up forward....apply the press and watch him create goals from the stoppages in our fed 50....

Judd hasn't look injured me since the Cats game.
I don't think you are giving credit to Murphy Simpson Scotland Carrazzo Gibbs Yarran and Walker.

They took the possession Judd usually compelled to take.
It doesn't have to be about Juddy.
I think he's confident enough in the abovementioned to pass the baton.
That's the best preservation if he's not injured.

He said he disn't or doesn't use injections to [mask] something like that.
Maybe he would if he had to.
Maybe because he wouldn't take the injection at WCE his groin problem was exacerbated in the final.

As far as the teams coming back from a rest (bye) the rest doesn't do any favours.

Bottom line is that we should avoid playing injured players when we can.
We don't need Juddy to win most games now...imo.
Yes he helps. It's a team game I expected him to help others as they do him.

That raises the next decision.
If Kreuzer isn't injured and the knee is stronger than before and he declares he's ready, should he?

The more games Kreuzer gets under his belt now the more benefit he's going to be to us later in the season and the GF.
Isn't that the saying?

I can't wait to have the big fella back.
If Kreuzer plays I'm sure Juddy wouldn't want to miss it.

No way should Judd be a sub... either play him or give him a week off.

I'm all for resting Waite as well... bring in Hendo, he's earned his spot.

Hope I'm wrong but not at all confident that Jamo will come up tbh... creating a huge problem of who will take Brown.

Anyways, blues by 43 pts

We really need to smash these guys on Sunday. They've been terrible in patches, OK in others.

IMO, Port have been worse than Brisbane... Brisbane certainly have more match winners in their side.

Jonno Brown will be itching to get himself back into top form. If Jamo misses, he and Clark could really get a hold of our backline... if they can get reasonable supply.

As mentioned earlier, Waite misses Henderson in. Tuohy gets a full game and Armfield is the sub.

Kreuzer is interesting. Why not give him an "easy" game in the AFL rather than another in the VFL. If he is fit better to ease him into the tempo of AFL before a couple of harder matches. But who do you drop for him (Setanta?) and where does that leave Warnock considering Hampson played okay last week.

Brisbane are struggling, but every time we play them, we make some their lesser players look like superstars.

Brisbane we embarrassed last week, we shouldn't be too over confident - especially when our goal kicking is average at times.

This will not be an easy game. It is at the Dome. Jono Brown plays his best against us and these are the games we HAVE to win if we want to finish top 4.

The talk of resting players is a joke. :donk: :screwy:

Lets hope the players and football club don't think like supporters on here otherwise we will get smashed on Sunday.

Play Juddy in the back pocket to give him a rest. Surely the ball would be in our forward half most of the game and it also means that Juddy would be tagged to the max leaving Yarran to run free.

I dont think people are giving credit to the Job that Thomas and Broadbent did on Judd - Also it is no surprise to me that his form took a spike down as he was playing at levels not seen before - It also coincided with the team dropping his blocker and feeder and playing a guy he was carrying and injury and a little gun shy

Agree 100% with the above... im not sure why people are saying one more week or two more weeks in the magoos for Kruzer.... get him in and put him in the goal square... the bloke is a star. This is exactly the game youd want to bring him back in, the sooner he comes back, the sooner he will get his touch back.

Does anyone agree with me that Jamison is possibly THE most important player in our team that we can not afford to lose?

Brisbane paying $8.50 for the win is ridiculous.... It should be about $5 i reckon

PS: I wont be backing against the blues this week
