Gold Coast were also a certainty to beat us in Round 2. Fraud of a football commentator.

The job towards top4 finish started last week. The job is not over until we seal a tope 4 spot. Prefer top 2.
The team must make sure they keep focused, especially with the Swans game coming up and them being our immediate challenger. :fight:

ps. as for the so-called experts.

win our next 4 v Port, Lions, Swans and Eagles and then we can say the top 4 is ours to lose.

Does not really matter where we finish in the top 4 this year as it looks like victorian clubs will finish in those positions ensuring our finals campaign will be at the MCG. Just need to get there with all our best players still on the park and then we can have a real shot at our 17th flag!

Just keep winning, I don't care if we only beat Port and Brisbane by a point, as long as we win.

If we lose to Port, we will still only be one win ahead of Essendon*.

Threads like this have potential schadenfreude written all over them. Let's not forget our form during the middle part of 2010 after a strong start.

Anyone remember who it was?

Most 'experts' had us either just scraping into the 8 or missing out all together. Bet the Herald Sun especially, was hanging for the Blues to fail so that they can write article after article about how crap we are....

Having said all that, we must show that we now are a genuine Top 4 team and win all these 'winnable' games we've got ahead of us in the next 6 weeks...

Operation 'Top 4 Consolidation' begins today at AAMI Stadium...

But we still have Warnock and Austin on our list. So we clearly haven't moved forward.

If you guys want Hotcox to move on from criticism of Warnock and Austin, perhaps you could move on from Jake Edwards.

Hutchy doesn't know much about football.
He does know how to fabrica......I mean exhaustively research off-field stories though.

Yes. Fair to say Hutchy does his best work rifling through other people's rubbish bins or hiding behind a bush. Not offering an opinion on what's happening on the park. Seriously - why on earth would he think anyone cares about his opinions on the game? He knows nothing about the game.

I had a look at Sydney's draw and it is a pretty good draw particularly later on in the season.
The game against them in a couple of weeks will have a huge bearing on top 4 position.

I agree, though I really feel that the Swans are not that good, and possibly one of the more ordinary teams in recent seasons to have the win loss record that they have at this stage of a season.

But not according to Roosy. You see, they play contested finals-style footy. Unlike Carlton, who although they are leading in nearly every contested/pressure stat going around, might have improved, but not sure if it's going to be enough to satisfy Carlton people. :banghead: Just waiting for another round of it tonight on OTC, if Carlton gets mentioned at all.
