We wont have to wait until round twenty Surrey. You will find Yarran and Gartlett will be hit with everything but the kitchen sink as of next week and every week therafter.......................Robbo and Armer should concentrate on cementing there place in the side before they gob off at the opposition. Both are far from permanent fixtures in the side.............i am seathing. It is thoughtless shit like that opens the door to our numerous enemies who cannot wait to sieze upon a tiny morsel to feed the masses who despise us.Idiocy beyond belief.

Why would Port target Yarran and Garlett because Robbo was honest about the game against Melbourne?

I fail to follow your logic.

That's one way of looking at it Mick. The other way is to hope other teams throw everything at us week in week out. What better preparation for some tough finals. We want our boys to play hard and tough and not give an inch for 120 minutes a game. Teams that do that week in week out win finals. I don't know of one soft team who has won a Premiership in the past 20 years.

I doubt Robbo meant it in a nasty way, but I'm glad he has been honest and put his head up. If someone tries to knock it off then good luck to them. Lets hope the Blues give it back in spades and then some. I'm over being a push over in the AFL.

Intensity at the opponent and at the football wins the big games. I want to see Carlton play exciting football. Football that is uncompromising and if need be, bordering on unsociable. Robbo has drawn a line in the sand for the rest of the team, including Jeff and Yazz. Now is the time for the team to put their head over the footy, take the hit and get on with it. Just like any tough Frankston lad would do

Regards Cazzesman

Jesus christ, how soft have Carlton fans become? Scared to bag the opposition, where is the old arrogance?

Don't Melbourne have a partnership with China or something? Surely they could promote Round 20 as the rematch against the Navy Bruise...

Every Melbourne supporter I have spoken to agrees with the comments.

Bailey's last gasp! :garthp:

I agree with Cazz. Tougher blue boys this year. Not an issue. We'll roll our sleeves up and get on with it.

Melbourne was chronically undermanned
Bailey had to devise a game plan taht prevented a thrashing
To do this it was going to be painful to watch
A few honest comments now gives him a chance to deflect from that and have a crack at teh Blues

Storm in a teacup, they will get over it soon, I think......

Will Bailey still be at Melbourne come R20..

If they continue to play this sort of uninspiring football, i am seriously doubt it

This whole thing about the term 'Bruise Free Footy' being a term used within the club regarding Melbourne is a load of crapolla.

I heard Dermie on SEN aand on the Sunday Footy Show speaking about Liam Jurrah a few weeks back and he used the term 'Bruise Free Footy' speaking about him. He said something like 'Ýou might as well empty the ice bath when he comes in after a game becasue he hasnt had any physical contact with his opponents'. He said something similar about Aaron Davey too following their game against the Saints.
and even repeated comments of the like following the Dees embaressing performance against us last Friday night.
Further to this, it was Billy Brownless who used the term 'Bruise Free Footy' first when asking Arma a question on Sunday morning, yet Robbo and Armfield are pinned with being the guys dissing the Dees.

Gotta love these journos who when it comesto Carlton, love blowing stuff out of proportion... Guess they were setting themselves for a bad year for us and are cut up now that we're doing well...

Gotta love Robbo
Reckon he would be among first half dozen picked every week for the benchmark in hardness and spirit he brings to the team
How good will he be when he finally develops poise

Definitely well planned. Make the statement, so they come out playing furious footy against the Bombers. Good work!
