I think Touhy will take Laidlers spot.

Very possible. Port arent tall up forward and we have Jamo and Thornton with Duigan able to match up on Motlop if needed.

Sounds like it will be wet as well.

Add Curnow and Touhy to the side and we add some real body size and toughness to our line up.

Surely if Curnow is injury free he comes straight back in to the side. He was on fire prior to going down.

This is the game to give a new guy a run, so Tuohy if he's ready and knows what's required of him is awesome to get a game. If we are without Russell, Laidler AND Duigan, that's a heck of a chop out of our back line, and worrying to be quite honest.

It might mean Waite may need to get back and help out (which robs us of a quality forward).

Dilemmas! I hope that Russell and Duigan play and it's Laidler (due to injury only, as i love the way he plays) the only guy missing.

I don't remember the last time Carlton played in Adelaide with weather other than horrible.

Last year round 4 against Adelaide. Great day. My first time at Football Park. Haven't seen so many mullets since the middle pages of Sticks' autobiography.

It's either blowing a gale, or still and dewy as all get up.

Not looking forward to this one. Last 3 times, been 3/4 of agony only to roll home in the last.

2008 - 7.3 to 0.3
2009 - 9.2 to 1.3
2010 - 6.6 to 1.1

22.11 to 2.7!

Although the way this year is going 2011 will probably be something like 3.9 to 1.1

Pretty sure Duigan will play. Russ should be ok i would think but i reckon they will ask how he feels after the warm up.

Will be business as usual for Touhy in the crazy weather predicted. Those conditions match 90% of VFL game conditions over the last 2 years.

Is Warnock back for Hampson? Amazing that our biggest dilemma is the ruck with the rest of the team playing. Imagine if we had a Sandilands or Cox type running around? That might be the difference come September... errr... October?

Sorry if the link brings you to a dodgy page. I'm posting from my Blackberry. It's been announced on the Carlton Facebook page.

Doesn't say who Zach will be replacing, as he is still a rookie

Luke Mitchell is playing in the VFL reserves.

"The 21 year-old was elevated to the senior list earlier in the season and travelled to Sydney for the round six match against the Swans as an emergency. He then returned to the rookie list when Luke Mitchell was taken off the long term injury list in May."

Now that Zac Tuohy has been confirmed as in the side this week, that means he probably replaces Laidler. I hope Russell and Duigan are ok with hamstring tightness/soreness last week. If we lose the whole three backline players, maybe Gibbs and Walker can go back to replace them. Bring in Hendo and/or Hoops to bolster the forward line?

Training report for 31/5 noted that both Duigan and Russell are probable but not certain to play. At least one should play.
Curnow looked very good at training.
Given the expected weather it looks like Curnow and Tuohy IN with Laidler and ? OUT. McLean ?

My amateur guess:
In: Touhy Curnow Henderson
Out: Laidler (one of) Russell/Duigan (inj) McLean (omitted)

Unless Rats is foxing, both Touhy and Curnow will play. Maybe Henderson also as he is moving more and more freely each game. Houla at least one more game with the Ants for better match fitness and touch. One of the benefits of having a bit more depth is that the MC don't have to rush back better players before they have had the chance to work into some form.

If Curnow is right to play then I think for team balance it has to be at the expense of McLean. Have an increased respect for Brock after listening to his post match interview last week and hope that he can recover enough of his former skills to be worth keeping by Carlton.
