I wouldn't mind the boys being a bit more careful with their words, but Chris Connolly is a flog. I remember he took exception to something minor Pagan said about the Dockers game style a few years ago.

Fact is their forwards were shite, didn't tackle & didn't chase. Our boys were just commenting on a game they'd just played, not one they were preparing for.

Smart by Robbo and Army to fire them up before they face the Bravehearts

Would of thought Chris Connolly and the Melbourne Football Club have much bigger issues to worry about.

What a transparent Carlton-hating sook. Maybe next time Mitch should say "Yeah, nah, obviously Melbourne played tough hard footy, but at the end of the day we got the 4 points."

Mitch was only stating the obvious: Melbourne didn't come to play. Their supporters knew it as well as we did.

As a journalist Mark Robinson should be applauding players for speaking openly, yet the first time one shows a bit of honesty he jumps up and down like a little girl. He should be more concerned about the form of Essendon*, or Richmond, or whoever he's following these days.

Quite often this year he has pleaded for players to be more honest. On 360 and Game Day. Remember him being somewhat critical of Simmo when he refused to be interviewed after the Ess draw. All we want is a true insight he reckons.

Mitch tells the truth and he writes this rubbish. Hypocrite.

I think you'll find those comments attributed to Mark Robinson are from some idiot using his name as their alias when appending remarks to his story.

There is nothing easier than making a ridiculous comment on a internet newspaper story and giving yourself a stupid name which only gullible people take seriously.

Mark Robinson is one of the few journos whose opinion I (grudgingly) admire.

I've now read Robinson's article and can find no trace of the offending quote.

Do you really think Robinson would state "I hate Carlton" (thereby offending 10-15% of the HS readership) or use the expression "butthurt" in a supposedly "reputable" newspaper.

This was started on Footy Confidential, who noted that both Carlton players used the term "bruise-free footy" which isn't a commonly used term and hence it must have been a theme within the club during the week.

The one problem with that is that on the Sunday Footy Show, Billy Brownless used the term himself in his review and then the question was asked of Armfield who said "As you said Billy, bruise-free footy".

So the evidence for it being a theme within the club is that Robinson and Billy Brownless both used it.

Either Footy Confidential made a mistake or they were being deceitful. Haveing Caro and Hutchy there, it could be either.

The article linked says it's by Mark Stevens who is a complete Carlton hater. He was the one whining after the Swans game about the interchange infringement changing the course of the entire game and how Carlton supporters were going completely over the top about the win. Then after JK kicked 10 against his club he started up the "Carlton gave up too much for Chris Judd" junk.

In regards to Melbourne, seriously, what a bunch of sooks. Every single article I read on the game commented on how Melbourne didn't come to play the game but instead limit the damage on the scoreboard. They should start looking for answers within their own club.

I'd be more surprised that 10-15% of Feral Sun readers are Carlton supporters. I would've thought that 10-15% would represent supporters of ALL the other clubs other than Collingwood.

Exactly!
Take Moloney out of the team and they are one of the softest teams going around.
