What happens if we smash the DEMONS without Judd?????????

Doesn't that rebuke the no Judd, no Carlton group?

Poor souls, what will they do?

Perhaps they could join the crew at Save Albert Park.

Maybe they could install set top boxes, or pink batts, or build school halls, or.........................

I'm just @#$%&! sick of close games
I'm sick of having 10 more scoring shots for no reward
I'm sick of having the opposition on toast, only to let them back in it
We've won our games by 1.39 (with the exception of the GC debacle)

We've been winning games, which is great. But Ratts constantly talks about being more ruthless, yet we remain one of the least ruthless teams in terms of finishing off opposition. I want this to be the game where we prove we can be ruthless, and that we do what is expected of good sides. Melbourne are cherry ripe, down on confidence, decimated by injuries. This is the chance to be efficient and methodical, as top teams should be, and @#$%&! destroy them like we should.

We'll cruise along in 2nd gear to a 3 goal win, we all know that.

I'm just sick of going to the footy and spending those two hours with my heart in my mouth.

Is it too much to ask for a relaxing Friday night at the footy watching us smash the Dees?

I have nothing against Dean Bailey, but I hope Friday night's game causes him to be sacked next week.

McLean was not terrible on Friday ... he did however make a couple of bad mistakes.

The player who was terrible (unfortunately) was Yarran.

Todays paper has us already ruling out Warnock. Just lets hope Hampson grabs this opportunity to show something.
Its a tough one with Mclean, he should be given more than one game to prove himself and get used to the pace of the game but he looked so slow on Friday night.
Sadly noone in the Bullants is knocking the door down to get a game.

If they drop McLean for this week, they may as well sack him.
He was poor first up, but you need to give him a chance to get up to the pace of AFL. He had good form in the Ants, so you have to back him. Otherwise, it will be the same story next time.

Agreed, give him another run. Melbourne will focus on trying to rough him up, and lose the plot (well that's what I'm hoping).

No Warnock, gives Hammer a chance to shine as the Number 1.

Sounds like Juddy will play from the reports, so perhaps only one change....

Out: Warnock (inj) Setanta Thornton

Setanta was okay in parts but makes too many mistakes and if fit Henderson is a much better option. Balance is important and Melbourne are small so I think Thornton may miss as well. St Kilda dropped McEvoy last week to play Melbourne because of this reason.

I believe Hampson will step up to the level and enjoy being the number one ruckman.

My Line up:

B: Armfield Jamison Duigan
HB: Yarran Laidler Gibbs
C: Simpson Ellard Scotland
HF: Garlett Henderson Walker
F: Betts Waite Robinson
Foll: Hampson Judd Murphy
Int: McLean Russell Carrazzo (Houlihan)

More mobile side that will match up well against the Demons on a wet night.

Cant wait to try and get Touhy, Curnow, Lucas, Watson, Bower, Kruezer, White, Casboult into that side!

Has Henderson done enought to warrant selection though? From what I've seen and heard from the Ants he hasn't exactly been tearing the place apart. I'm not a huge Setanta fan, but IMO he's been playing a lot better than Henderson did in his lone game against Essendon*. I'd like to see serious form in the two's from him before he gets another chance.

Been building and very good last week. As Ratten said on radio this week he finally has his lateral movement back which was restricting his performance.

Setanta has done the odd good thing but overall has been average. For us to get better we simply cant carry these players. I can seriously envisage Kruezer and Henderson rotating out of FF and in the ruck come later in the year.
