I would like to see Jamison go to Watts if he starts forward and smash him.

Warnock offers us little around the ground so I can see us coping quite well. HAmpson is just as efficient in his tapwork. Henderson has done enough to warrant a return. Houla would be nice but not match fit. Where are our young up and coming on ballers. Having McCorkell and Yakka as the Bullants on ballers suggests we need to focus future recruitment on quality inside mids. Patience and hope for McLean to return to his former glory is starting to run out.

I'd rather he went to Jurrah, so we actually have him under control. Thornton to Watts.

The way Melbourne is playing we should be very pissed off if we do not win every qtr by at least 2 goals.

So a 48 point win is my pass mark for this game (would help the % as well).

..melbourne's gameplan of allowing the ball back to rebound off their HBF suits our style of fwd press.. ..you sit on Moloney, soften up Jizzberts, annoy Davey.. ..have no rucks, lacking flankers with polish.. ..rest Knockers and bring in Hampson to ruck most of the game... ..i'd retain Setanta as FF/relief ruck.. ..take a cautious approach with Judd, and if needed bring in AJ as an extra runner in his place.. ..wouldn't bring in hendo yet.. ..need extra legs [speedy legs too] to lock the ball in our fwd half cos the dee's will give us opportunity to do so and must capitalise on the way they play..

With Mitchell back on the list does that mean Touhy is back on the rookie list?

Correct. Touhy is not available for selection.

As for this week, assuming Judd is right, the only change I would make is

In: Hampson
Out: Warnock (concussion)

and perhaps Henderson in for Armfield or Elllard

To put that in perspective, AFL players aren't expected to absorb 50-100 punches to the head during an AFL game.
Unless you're playing against Campbell Brown

In: Henderson Hampson Houlihan
Out: Warnock (inj) Setanta Thornton

Setanta was okay in parts but makes too many mistakes and if fit Henderson is a much better option. Balance is important and Melbourne are small so I think Thornton may miss as well. St Kilda dropped McEvoy last week to play Melbourne because of this reason.

I believe Hampson will step up to the level and enjoy being the number one ruckman.

My Line up:

B: Armfield Jamison Duigan
HB: Yarran Laidler Gibbs
C: Simpson Ellard Scotland
HF: Garlett Henderson Walker
F: Betts Waite Robinson
Foll: Hampson Judd Murphy
Int: McLean Russell Carrazzo (Houlihan)

More mobile side that will match up well against the Demons on a wet night.

Cant wait to try and get Touhy, Curnow, Lucas, Watson, Bower, Kruezer, White, Casboult into that side!

Although terrible against the Saints, Thornton was good against the Cats. Can't see him getting dropped this week. Also, Hoops isn't match fit yet. Needs at least 1 more Ants game.

Reckon Hampson in for Warnock is already a given, and Hendo could possibly come in for a smaller player.

Bit hard on Thornton. His future is limited but he was okay on Friday. Which tall replaces him in defence? Who is your second ruckman.? I think Setanta has been okay. Makes errors but at least gets the ball around the ground. Hendo's role is as hard running wide roaming forward. Surely he is not expected to do 30% of the ruckwork. I'd give Houla another run with the Ants. I thought Tuohy was only promoted a few weeks ago pity if he is back off the list. I thought they rested him this week to play him instead of Army - who is in wretched form.

Elevated for Casboult LTI, who was elevated for Mitchell LTI. Mitchell fit again, so Tuohy back to the Rookie List

Team balance says Hendersen for Thornton. You want Hendo as a bigger body in defence if Watson isn't ready
Please don't reisk Hendos knees in the ruck

Setanta over four weeks has been ok. He keeps his spot for another week as a ruckman given Warnock's concussion. Hampson was poor for the Ants.

I hope we blood a few kids over the next weeks

McLean was not terrible on Friday ... he did however make a couple of bad mistakes.

The player who was terrible (unfortunately) was Yarran.

Yes but we know Yarran can play....

It also means we need to make sure we actually kick goals when we have inevitable fwd-line dominance, because the Dees are most dangerous on the rebound.

We also know McLean can play ... his first 2 matches last year before he got injured were excellent. People should give this bloke a chance.

He looked completely bereft of confidence against Werribee on Saturday!
I think he is a bit of a concern and looks almost shot imo
