This is a "better" version (although I have no idea why they left the ad in).

Yes, that is Hutchy up to his usual muckraking.

I'd buy the bloke in the brown jacket a beer if I ever met him. Not enough passion amongst our supporter base

We were there that day and I thought a thousand Blues supporters would jump the fence and kill Milburn.

I was also there... it was absolutely surreal.

That turd deserved every bit of vitriol that went his way that day, and more. There is a massive difference between collecting someone in the spirit of the game and lining up a guy who isn't even looking, then celebrating and inciting the crowd as you leave the field.

What makes it worse it the pr!ck will be running around tonight

I was at that game and was sitting near that white fence on the social club side of the interchange bench. I was probably about 13, SOS was / is my all time fave player and i was furious! I was so close to jumping that fence and belting him one.

One of my boyfriend's friends is a stupid Geelong supporter, and everytime we watch games with her, i always boo Milburn, (1. to shit her, and 2. to never forget that prick)! And she always says, "oh aren't you over that yet", and i always say, "I'd like to see your reaction if it was the reverse"

She makes me angry, but not as angry as that Milburn prick.

Agree - disgusting but typical sensationalism. How about mentioning the thuggery by Milburn?

That day was one of the weirdest days of footy I've ever attended. Heavy grey clouds, eerie atmosphere. We smashed Geelong, but they weren't there to play football (as Bill Woodful might have said). It was like watching a car crash in slow motion. They were going the knuckle at every opportunity. And Ratten's shocking injury...that was the end of CFC for 10 years even if the last rites were read against a few days after September 11.

Yep, never felt worse after a 10 goal win.

I was up in the social club behind the glass and the atmosphere around the ground was electric after that incident. Never felt anything like it, it was almost pitchforks and torches time.

IIRC it was Hockings last game. He must have been peeved at Milburn, because the Geelong team copped a fair dinkum unbelievable sendoff at the end of the game.

I still have a dream that Milburn will cop the well deserved Karma Train right between the eyes in one of our games - I hope we meet Geelong in a final.

In a perverse sort of way the club has gained some measure of Karma with the recruitment of Jeremy Laidler indirectly as a result of Milburn's decision to go around for 1 more season - but I would prefer Milburn finish his career the same way Silvagni left the ground that day and that is with a severe headache.

My lasting memory is Justin Murphy (who was playing for Geelong) walking off the ground with the Carlton players and refusing to associate with the Geelong players.
