I thought we beat the Doggies the week that Pratt died.

This suggests Mr.Pratt passed away in the week after - the week in which we just lost to hawthorn. We'll double check.

Seems from this that Mr.Pratt passed on the Tuesday before the Hawthorn game,

On Sunday, Pratt watched from his death bed as the Blues cruised to a stunning win over the Western Bulldogs.

Must have been known that he was in his final days. I remember that there was a big "win it for Sir Richard" emotion

I remember how sick in the guts I felt at the insipid performance we put up after Dick's passing.

Everyone keeps forgetting Jude Bolton, this bloke is playing very well and has been superb so far this season. Its about winning the contested ball, if we dont beat them there we are no chance of winning. And my honest feeling is we wont

Its just a running gag though ...right? You dont actually bet against the Blues in all those games? You didn't really expect us to lose them?

Nope.

Dickie was very ill at the time we played the Dogs, he hadn't passed away yet, but didn't look like going much longer.

The week of the Hawks game was when he passed away.

I think we've established that 5 times over.

Could've sworn it was only three.

Bit off topic, but re our round 8 game: does the media not care that 1 plays 4 this Friday? Lots of love on the radio for Essendon* and Richmond game but I'm not feeling the love for the two top 4 teams having a crack at each other.

Maybe they're saving it for later in the week but still...

Because the Bombers are brave and Richmond are in the box seat...who cares about Carlton and Geelong!

Yeah I've found that a bit odd myself. Although there have been a few articles floating about. I would expect some big write-ups come Friday.

If we get over the line in this one the draw opens up a bit for us. We've come through a tough stretch, time to get through this next big test, then keep the foot down and show the league what we're about.

I don't really see where the Cats have improved in the area we've exploited against them the last couple of years - winning clearances and then burning them for pace in their backline.

Blues by 27 points.

Not as odd at the fact that Richmond doesn't actually have any indiginous players playing for them...
