Received mine. Goes on about the 'No Passengers' slogan in one section. Great timing

Well the new Social Media Manager at Carlton has certainly changed the flavour of things in that area. I was actually speaking to someone at Deloitte Online recently and commented that while the initiative was great, it was still lacking unique content. Looks like they were thinking the same thing over at Deloitte Digital.

Hopefully the new guy can blend the old in with the new.

In today's Age there's an article disussing the move to the bigger MCG if the smaller host ground is at capacity.

Coutts is quoted something along the lines...from what he knows the reserved seat members are happy with the arrangements at the Dome.

If he was to ask the same members if they would prefer the MCG I wonder how accurate that statement would be.

What if he asked all the disgruntled reserve seat members if they would prefer to have all their family together in reserved seats at the MCG rather than divided as they are at Etihad what the response would be.

I know reserved seat members who were allocated even worse seasting arrangements than previous at the Dome because they asked for a change in seastig so their family can be together...which did not eventuate. Same instances for friends requesting the same, even from the outset of purchasing tickets.

I love the G for Carlton, but I must admit that coming down from Sydney I like the fact that I will not freeze or be rained on during the game at the Dome. That means jack because the club is bigger than the individual.

Yes you will. It's a fairly open plan stadium (bar the roof), and it's out in the docks. It gets cold.

I always find it a few degrees warmer on a cold day.

Definitely agree about that. Much warmer than the G. Prefer it for night games in winter.

Was at a Docklands restaurant Sat night (what a ghost town!!) and the wind coming off the water makes that place unbearable but never had that issue at the stadium.

I nearly froze in the Saints game in '09. I reckon it's much, much worse than the G.

You shouldn't have worn shorts and thongs then.

Unfortunately, bb, it will never happen. The AFL swore black and blue that matches would be re-fixtured from Docklands to the 'G if there was signs of a capacity crowd. It was a hollow promise designed to shut up the people who saw through the holes in the argument for Docklands and to get big clubs to the ground.

Has only happened once in a decade, IIRC. If that.

I agree, especially if you're down closer to the ground. The ground seems to actually radiate cold. The upper levels are a little warmer, possibly helped by the lights and that heat rises.

It's too late to shift anything a week before the game: needs to be done a month out, so you're probably never going to see that in the early rounds.

I knew as soon as the "Best fit" policy was announced it was a sad joke. Quietly ditched a few years back now.

Like that Avatar KK. All we need now is the Blues winning a few flags and it'll be the like the good old days of the 70's and 80's

I feel sorry for whoever has to put together the teletext.

Surely they'd just take a short break and leave this up:

*a stirring rendition of Wagner's Flight of the Valkyries as performed by a tone deaf brass orchestra*
