Really, we're worried about Kosi?? Really?
I am worried firstly by our capacity to play at our best when the opposition is perceived to be average. However, so far this year, we have shown more mettle which is great and why I thought our loss to Collingwood showed more than our victory over the Saints last year.
If we come to play we should win solidly.

I am a little concerned about Goddard or Reiwoldt hitting their straps. I would make sure Montagna & Dal Santo cannot run around like they like to do. I might even have a contingency plan in case Gilbert decides to play to his potential.
However, my only concern about Kosi is whether he accidentally knocks one of our players out by tripping over himself. Although, there is a 50/50 chance that would be a Saints player he knocks out.

St Kilda supporters are worried about Kosi taking the field, ffs.

genuine pace on most lines in that side.

pace which could be very well aided by montagna most likely being out for them.

Ironically Yarran missed the game with hamstring tightness.
Ironically or coincidently ?

Are we a little short down back? Unless O'hAilpin goes back and White goes forward?

I think we've been one tall too few in each of the games we've played this year. It hurt us against Richmond, Collingwood and Adelaide...no flexibility to change things around.

I think we should win, but....

I can't help remembering the Hawthorn game last year @ Etihad - we were travelling nicely after 9 rounds, they were struggling and had been under the pump from the media for underperforming. They played themselves back into form in that game against us, and the fortunes of the two sides reversed for the remainder of the season.

If we're not switched on from the start, I could see a similar thing happening his week. A good start is very important. We must put scoreboard pressure on them early so as not to give them a sniff....

We ended up losing Kruezer shortly after which hurt us as much as lenny hayes being absent for them...

This time Kruezer will be returning..... :smoking:

I think we are goin in too small. White is a small KPD as it is. Riewoldt & Kosi even though arent in form are capable of being game breakers. If we have no plan B it could come back to haunt us like it did a few times already this season.
If Saints throw Gilbert and Goddard forward at times it could really stretch our defence. Ratts needs to have a back uplan which doesnt involve re-arranging the fwd line.

I'm with you on that. Another character test for our boys.

To keep off an ankle if memory serves? Doesn't count for too much.

Lets just hope teh Carlton faithful dont expect too much this season from the big fella - just get through strong and ready for next year

A knee reco is almost like a 2 year injury these days, the year you miss when you hurt and teh second year is generally hampered from not being able to have a full pre-season so you are behind the 8 ball - second year seems more like get fitness and confidence back into your body

The same way we worry about Lindsay Thomas, or Mark Williams, or countless other duds that seem to find another gear against us.
