Footage of Murph at the airport, no sling. Looked to be no problems.

Was on his flight Don, there was a sling.

Obviously took it off after he landed then :?

Actually thats why they said this morning on Ch 7 that he had a sling getting on the plane and removed before he exited the plane.

Looked like a subluxation in my far from expert opinion. His arm went limp momentarily then recovered, with soreness the day after. He should only miss a week on that, but I guess we'll wait and see what the scans show.

That he played out the game and his tackles continued to stick is a fairly promising sign.

I'd look to drop Joseph for Yarran, and possibly Watson for White. Watson had a decent game in the bye (*rimshot*) but his kicking will open up the game against what remains a miserly Saints team defence. On the flip side, only Rhyce Stanley will trouble White this game, but I said that about the Swans and he failed to deliver in 1-on-1s.

I'd love to play Hampson over Setanta purely to smash home the ruck advantage over McEvoy & Blake, but I'll accept that Hampson has something wrong with one of his fingers and will be missing a few games.

Out: Joseph, White
In: Yarran, Watson

Robinson probably needs to be the sub if he's fit, because he looks a bit spent and in need for a rest. If not, bring in Brock and use Duigan as the sub as I don't think he has a suitable match-up beyond McQualter.

Lucas for Murphy if he's not ready and either of Lucas & Tuohy if Yarran doesn't come up.

The real emphasis in this game won't be getting tackles in, because the Saints are physically below par and lacking speed at the best of times. We'll get to the ball carrier enough, but we have to tackle them hard, bury them as much as the rules allow and slow them further. If we do that, we'll stitch up this game in the third quarter and Ratts can fiddle around with rotations as much as he likes.

Leading hard and presenting well for the passer will be paramount as they will try and wear us down in contested situations as well. We'll outrun them in the four quarters, so it's important to make those extra kilometres count.

We could almost end their season with another loss here - 1.5 wins after 7 games, they will be a sh*t fight just to make the 8

Go for the jugular Blues

We shouldn't take them lightly though. In their [REDACTED] up minds they'd probably STILL consider losing to us as the most humiliating thing they can do (yes, more humiliating than waving their dicks in each other's faces), so don't be surprised if they lift a little.

Beat them and we're set up nicely and their season is basically [REDACTED].

Can't go into this game playing like millionaires though. They are shithouse but we need to assume they'll come out with something to prove.

Hopefully it's a repeat of last year though

I hate this mob more than any team in the league, but closely followed by the bummers & maggots! Grant Thomas used to plead with his players to smash us as much as possible & that they did when we were on our knees!

The wheels are turning & it's now our chance to pay back with interest, we need to come switched on & a no mercy attitude, pound them as hard & brutally as possible!

As much as I hate the bummers & maggots, they must be respected, they have 31 flags between them, but this mob & their feral supporters prance around like they're world beaters, they need to be constantly reminded of their tragic past & this is where we need to go bang!

The saints like many other football teams will be forever in our shadow!

Yes, they've never really helped themselves throughout their tawdry and putrid existence.

Instances such as the famous rip-off of their own club legends in the '7 cents in the dollar' scam, the disgraceful mid-year sacking of our own Matty Capuano, then there's their weaselly and filthy attempt at dodging responsibility for the recruitment and sacking of Andrew Lovett and finally the latest schoolgirl sex scandal which has turned many peoples stomachs.

As stated above, a solid victory for us to end their season would be nice.

Pretty interesting taking a look over at Saintsational at the moment. Most are reasonably confident they'll lose by 10 goals and claiming we're a top 4 side this year.

Seems we are getting some respect out there even if it's coming from a mob I don't respect...

Don't risk Yarran if there is any doubt at all especially with bye coming up. Same goes for Murph. AJ is a great trier but his lack of skill costs us too much and in a choice between him and Army, it has to be Army. I'd like to see Tuohy get a run. Hopefully the Saints form holds up and we flog them. Show how you have to grab your opportunity when it is there. An ounce of luck, a few different recruiting decisions and they could have two flags, instead they have to wait years for the wheel to turn again.

I see Sammy J was b.o.g. for the Crows. Saints have a slow ordinary ruckman, time for Warnock to dominate. Thought he was beaten badly by Mumford.

I like Lucas for Murphy and Tuohy for AJ.

And someone get in Waite's ear and tell him - no more stupid pointless freekicks.

Jammo is in sizzling form and Duigan and Laidlaw are playing excellent footy especially for newbies. I like White and he can go forward. A bit of an inbetweener and can get caught out against bigger opponents, but he is a good tough old fashioned goer and deserves to keep his spot.

We just need to run the whole game and take them on. They are slow and if we show them up early then I think the wheels just may fall off. There are more problems in their club than just the poor on field performances, they appear to have regressed back to how they were in the 80s.

This is our chance to pay back for the pain they have given us over the recent past.

Let's stick it right up 'em !!!

I'm always a bit nervous playing a side that is getting bagged in the media. Wallsy's an expert at having a crack at the team we're playing that week. I reckon the Saints will be under the microscope this week in the media, and I am sure they will respond with a better performance...

They are last year's Grand Finalists, they need to be respected.

We had a great win on Friday night, but if we don't have our minds on the job this week, we could be in for an embarrassing loss.

Having said that, if we ARE switched on this week, I am quietly confident that we are good enough to win well...

Anyone know a pub in Georgetown, Penang I can watch the game from?

First Melbourne game I am going to be missing for a while

Although I suppose there are worse places to be if I am going to miss it
