Great to see Deisel on Ch 7.

Tailor made conditions for him

Although some of you will go ballistic that he looked a bit awkward bending down to pick the ball up there.

Who will Armfield sub for?

I'd go Joseph.

Joseph's been good. Why would you sub him off?

For Armfield.

They effectively go 50m up and 5 metres forward, before being spoiled 20 metres back in the other direction. He should consider a shorter drop punt for once rather than kicking it around the corner every time. If it goes 20 metres forward, skids another 10 in the wet, and then gets tied up in a contest, that's a win.

That happened once

Its wet, the ball is slippery and were overdoing the handball to find a player in space, but all were doing is just putting the next guy under pressure when he overruns the ball.

Back to basics, just kick it long along the lines and force it forward.

I think they only have to be clever enough to prefer Aussie rules over the rugby codes to get a membership.

It really does feel like we're discovering wet weather footy every time we play in it. We're genuinely confused about whether to stick to the usual, or change things up. Wake the !@#$%& up Carlton...

Jim, its been pissing down out there. Do you have any idea how wet everything is? If you think its easy, go grab a footy, jump in the shower, turn the water on, throw a little soap on the ball and see how easy you handle it.

I know Brad, which is why you chest mark loose, which allows for the ball to rattle around as it impacts (and it will rattle).

Playing with sleeves also helps in these conditions.

One thing I am happy with is Gibbs seems to be knuckling down a little more.

Making it all the more inexplicable that his teammates aren't.

AJ has been better than Simpson, Scotland, Carrazzo, Ellard. Sub one of them off for Armfield.

The last 10 minutes of that quarter we were grinding it out like pro's.

Keep grinding boy's if you can beat the Swans in this bog, you're going to another level.

Nah sorry cimm, no chance of us grinding this out, all hope is lost, its terrible, our worst nightmare, all doom and gloom here.

The fact that we're a good chance to grind it out doesn't change the fact that it always takes us 60 minutes to remember how to play wet weather football and we're always 2-6 goals down before we do. And as a result, this is something of a groundhog moment and people are understandably frustrated at the dumb football on display and, frankly, concerned that our coaching panel can't seem to convey even the most straight forward of football messages. It's like watching us lose to Essendon* over and over and over the same way. But with more rain.

We are still a massive chance but it is just immensely frustrating watching the same players make the same mistakes week in week out. That goes for the umpires too.
