He's on his final chances though cause what he's putting in, an Option like Setanta or even Thornton would be better.

His taps go to nowhere and he is deadest useless in front of goal (thats IF he marks the thing). But with Kreuzer still 4-5 weeks away (i'd be giving him a couple of runs in the twos) then Hampson needs to shoulder the burden of the ruck from 206cm, who can burn out pretty easilly!

Setanta isn't the greatest in the ruck, but geez he'd offer a truckload more than what Hampson would.

Disagree with you. Hampson's tap outs to advantage are very good. Consistently rate well in that regard. Would still drop him though and give Warnock the duties on such a small ground.
We need a forward who can read the play. In fairness to him still developing and if it weren't for Kreuzer goingdown he would not be under so much scrutiny.

Kernahan struggled to read the play at the SCG and he was at FF, so the ball wasn't going over his head at CHF. It's just a hard ground to read unless you've played on it for a while and the team rules are such that they look for you...ala Lockett...but you have to know they ground and the game plan for the ground. All teams and many opposition stars struggle on this ground against the Swans.

Heavy ground will require a couple of ruckmen despite being small imo.

We can't afford to just let Mumford to dictate the tap outs against a short or skinny ruckman; that's suicide.
We have to give our mids an even chance to show their wares.

So your master plan is for Carlton to kick goals and kick more of them than the opposition?

I think a lot of people in the football public fail to understand what scoreboard pressure actually is. It's about keeping the opposition on their toes, and not allowing them to have long periods of unanswered goals.

Nah dude just making an observation based on previous encounters with this mob....a master plan however would have to involve yourself partnering Ratts in a dynamic duo type setup...and by that I don't mean batman and robin....more like Abbot and Costello or Laurel & Hardy....

Your observation is stating the premise of the game, and its best outcome for a team playing the game, i.e. the bleeding obvious.

Glad I'm providing the comic relief, meanwhile you've just dropped 2 posts of waffle. Perhaps you can slap some syrup on it and sell refreshments to earn your keep.

Looks as though Armfield, Lucas & Tuohy have all made the trip, as none of them are named in the Bullants squad to face GWS.

No obvious candidate there for sub, except for Joseph, but don't know if they'll give it to him back-to-back.

Don't reckon they will, teams seem to be avoiding that. Robbo or Armfield (if in for Yarran ) I reckon

Zack or Amry for Yazz is unfit
Setanta for Hammer next week if Hammer fails to fire up fwd again - first step in applying some heat on Hammer

AJ's tackle in the death was great, inspired, but I thought before that he pretty much coughed it up every time he was put under serious heat
Not a fan personally

Swans have a short defence, tall bench, but no one to trouble us for height really. Tuohy up as insurance for Yarran, Armfield as the usual extra man. Guess we've rested Lucas.

Betts, Mitch, or even Yarran I would think.

Robbo's been important for us I reckon, and he's hard at it, which you need against Syd. Yarran/Armfield are needed for run out of the backline. Maybe Curnow or Ellard? Both would be depseratley unlucky. A part of me says it should be Gibbs to give him a shake up, but he may very well have been playing a role the coaches asked of him that we don't know about. He did spend all of last Sat night hanging off the packs though, and he's so much better when he hunts the ball.
