Gonna be a bumpy ride in here.

Before you start the calls of Sakc Ratten, just tell me what you thought when we went 11pts down; did you think we had the ticker to fight back for the win?

It was an ugly game, but the history books will say we got the 4pts.

Ho Hum...

Not very impressive, but better to be playing poorly and getting the 4 points than playing well and losing.

We did it the hard way. Should have had it sewn up at half time. Credit to the lads though they found a little extra to win it from 11 down. Our endevour is good has been all year, but geez we have to hurt the opposition on the scoreboard otherwise the work is pointless

The last two goals showed how we can deal with our embarrassingly woeful forward line. Kick long over the top of it.

I thought we should have won by 36 points. Why? I dunno. Because.

To live in Adelaide had the Crows had one would have been unbearable. Not much to say about the game. We have a lot if improving to do, but I think we can get there.

thats actually a good sign IMO.

dont get me wrong, i was livid with our performance today. we are playing some terrible football at the moment, yet we are still getting the points. i hate to say it, but that is what good sides do, grind out results ..... its the only thing i got really. its a bit hard to digest this result, as you look at the scoring shots and the result never should have been in doubt, yet, there we where 11 points down, and we got up to win ...

oh and gibbs. seriously, my patience is just about worn thin. mind you he wasnt the only one. carazzo, gibbs, betts (though marginally better than last week), hampson where rubbish, utter rubbish, russell wasnt far behind that list as well.

walker was good up front, jamieson was good down back, daigen continues to improve, which is all you can ask

Dominated in every facet except being capable of capitalising on our dominance. A few goals late in the first and early in the second and the talls in their forward fifty would not have come into play. Its a common theme though . Goal scoring is a thorn in our side.
Not finishing well is demoralising for us and uplifting for the opposition.

I think the selections would have worked a treat had we not missed so many goals and the move of Russ onball/forward seemed a good one in the end.

Good on the boys to fight it out to the end and refuse to walk off losers.

Not sure how we are going to get up for an interstate trip against a team that is resting up with a bye.

Very happy with the win. The crows are a LOT better than they have shown at the start of this year.

Last couple of years we lost most of the close games we were involved in - a goal this year was to win (more of) the close games. Based on the last couple of weeks, I think we are starting to do that.

Imo, we look as if we are a couple goals better than last year (which was a couple goals better than 09) - If we continue to improve by a couple of goals each year, we'll be serious challengers next year

Ratten can not kick the goals for them. I thought we had the right setups and played all over them. You can't beat many sides with 11.19. You can beat most sides with 20.10. It goes all the way to the top. Judd's miss, Murphs miss and Simpson. I don't know how we fix it but it MUST be fixed!

Last year we were the most accurate team in the comp. This year our kicking for goal has been poor. I think your comments are very accurate. If we had kicked straight we would have smashed these flowers.

The game did highlight what most in here pointed out pre game that our back line will have trouble handling power forwards. One on one we were found out down back. Gutsy effort by the boys to grind out a win after going down by 11. My week will be better because we dug deep and got the 4 points. That will count at the end of the year.

Agree with this. Adelaide played the SUPER flood but it would have been irrelevant if we had kicked straight. Judd stabbing in to the post from 15m, Garlett 2 misses in the 2nd, Murphy banana touched on the line, Judd's shot from 50 that stopped on the line, warnock missing from 25m, Waite scrubbing a shot under pressure when Walker was 5m ahead of him clear etc etc.
Adelaide's tactics were based on us not kicking away.

Too many passengers on the forward line, Betts, Garlett was poor, Hampson again.

I walked away happy with the win. It was an escape but we were by far the better side.

Got out of jail at the end, purely because their decision making were atrocious.
When can we play 4 quarters of good football in a game?

Judd's miss was the horror show.
