Then even better changes for playing football on a slippery dip.

Why did they play it at Etihad when they didn't close the roof. Don't you have a purpose built round ball stadium now?

There isn't a Victory fan that wouldn't love to be free from Etihad but thanks to Collo, we're stuck there for the foreseeable future (sound familiar? lol)... but that's another issue.

Last night they were forced to leave the roof open due to protests from the Chinese. They we not afforded the chance to train under a closed roof therefore refused to play under it...

That could be the dumbest objection in the history of sport.

Yes, and after seeing the ball skid in off the slippery surface for a Victory goal, the Chinese probably would agree with you

Given Crows rely heavily on the small/med fwds its a given we'd go without bower or watson.

Doughty obviously brought back in to tag Judd.

Been alot of talk about defensive roles in our fwd line, need to be attacking.

Reilly will tag Judd.

Scott Thompson been in terrific form recently; however Bernie Vince chopped Bryce Gibbs up a couple of years back with 3 goals and 30+ so Bryce will have to be accountable.

I think you're thinking of Shirley. Reilly has attempted to limit Judd last year and pre season. Historically Murphy has done ok against the Crows.

Same, same.

Except Joseph can find the ball because he's a footballer, not a rugby union convert.

The biggest question mark shouldn't be our selections, but our game plan and forward structure.

Was terrible in the first half of the game against the Scum.

Walker could do well with Scott Stevens out.

Agree totally. Sauce is underdone after missing much of the pre-season with a hamstring. He has only played a couple of games for the local Eagles on the comeback trail. Need to run off him as much as possible.

Got to disagree there. Here's a scenario:

Streaming into 50, game in the balance and taking a shot is the best option on. Which one would you back to kick the goal?

I'm not a betting man myself, but I'd put a few down on Armfield. I'd back him again in the same situation if he had to nail the pass. Would have done all of this before this year, it's just that I'd not even bat an eyelid about it in 2011. Armfield is an opportunity away from cementing himself in the CFC line-up, he's got more than enough footy smarts and he's got skills to boot.

I'm with you. His game against the Tiges was first rate and his big weakness to dat , his kicking, was a non issue as he drilled passes at full pace and a couple on the left slipper.

I can tell you now the Dockers and will be all over this guy as they love his type and the the Eagles will need his type because they dont have any hard running backmen who don't break down every second week.

Hmmm. Would like to know what the MC have been smoking...

I've felt strongly for all 4 games this year that we have been 1 tall short...so to speak. One tall too few. It hurt us against Richmond when Riewoldt started to get on top, we had no backup options without taking Waite out of the forward line. Ditto v Collingwood, when we went with Jamison and Watson, and they had Dawes, Cloke and Jolly/Brown. Watson got towelled, and they didn't want to take Thornton out of the forward line because it would have been too short.

Last week the backline I thought was great, held up really well. But with Henderson and Hampson so hopelessly out of touch, there was no one else to play a tall role forward.

Now we have one tall fewer again. That leaves us with White and Jamison down back, and Waite and Hampson forward. And that's it! What happens if one of those goes down? Or has a bad game? There is no plan B, no flexibility. Adelaide don't play particularly tall, which is I'm sure why the MC have gone down this path, but to me we are again a tall short.

And I really think we miss Armfield's run out of the backline.

In my humble opinion ... Armfield should never have been dropped. He must have put someone in the match committee in a head lock (see Brad Hodge with Ricky P).

We can't play everyone.

We can't keep everyone.

Any time a player who is a TC darling doesn't get a game inevitably someone gets all doom and gloom: look out look out! Theyre going to poach Armfield! They're going to lure Lucas! Ratts and the MC are pissing everyone off ! It will be Grigg all over again!

Tough sh#t.
We've been crying out for depth in the midfield for years, now we have it.
In a couple of years we will have a deeper forward line and our window will be open. When we win our next premiership not everyone will be a part of it - there will be casualties.

That's life.

The MC know that. Ratts knows that.
Bring it on Sadelaide!!!
I hope AJ rips them a new one and keeps his spot
