If Betts is made the sub does that officially now mean that the sub is the new 'naughty chair'?

I'm sure Ellard & AJ will relish this opportunity.

Looking for a return from Betts and Hammer this week.

Very tough on Lachie and very weak on Betts & Hampson. If Bets is injured he should be out entirely, not a substitute, if he is out of form he should be in the Ants.

Betts and Hampson MUST be on thier last chance this week, has to be the Ants for both of them if they do not perform.

Hampson at FF aint gonna fix our Fwd line structure we have lacked. Would rather Walks or even Gibbs play out of FF than Hammer.

Jacobs will be playin for hisife to prove he should of been preferred over the two we kept. Warnock needs to really put in a big one.

Hammer will be out next week. Setants will be in barring an absolute nightmare of a game in the ants. Would of been tough bringing him in after the one game.

I'd say Hampson will spend all of his non-rucking time in the fwd line to give him every chance to run into form, and I'd also expect Walker to not be a sub. So it is Hampson/Walker who replace Lachie.

I tipped it

My thoughts were he would be a good as a defensive forward instead of Betts. Maybe Betts will be the SUB?

Lips sealed on Hampson decision. :banghead:

Reckon there might be a chance of AJ in the forwardline tagging Johncock

C',mon guys, stop the incessant yarping. Henderson played the worst Carlton game since Prendergast's 8 clangers out of 8 possessions and any time Mick Martyn took the field. He had to go.

All up the last few weeks we've had one struggling tall too many - our bench has been hamstring with too many supposed marking options up forward and too few runners, let alone playing Adelaide. Hampson may not have taken any last week but very few could take a mark up forward last week given our terrible delivery and poor forward coaching - YES ALL GO UP FOR THE BALL AT THE SAME TIME YA NONGS. Hampson is needed in the ruck and if he kicks 2.1 from 4 kicks plus 15 HO he is better option in the team. Its a risk playing 2 less marking options but Henderson just was a huge liability last week.

Joseph's effort can't be questioned and he can run all day. Good to see him get a game.

Hendo, keep running all game in the 2's and get some touch. Against the good teams we'll need you & Waite to be fit but you're a month off.

disappointed bowers not in. hes in our best 22 and our no. 2 defender. has had 2 weeks in the reserves so not sure what the issue is.

worried weve gone a little small down back with tippet, walker, mckernan & their henderson all capable talls.

also thought our henderson deserved one more week considering the crows only have rutten as a recognised key back and he'll go to wait.

We're rucking against Sauce, and Warnock was a bit sore last week. Would be stupid to go in with only 1 genuine ruckman.

Prior to last Saturday, Essendon*'s talls were in better form than Adelaide's.
Our backline changed that by Jamo and White smashing Ryder and Hurly.

Hendo was clearly not fit last week. I'll back the MC  to know that he's better off having another run in the Ants, rather than another performance like that.

Not sure why so many people are surprised by Hampson remaining in the team. His only replacements are Kruze and Irish, and surely one game in the ants isn't enough to be rushed into the seniors. Last chance though...

Though I am surprised by the omission of Hendo just as much as I was surprised by his selection last week. Having rushed him back they should have persisted with him for another week (injuries aside).

Welcome back Ellard and Joseph

..Collins needs time in the 2nd's to develop and get de-richmondised.. ..and the Hendo was severely underdone and still needs more recovery time.. ..bad call selecting him, had to be dropped.. ..simply not ready yet, but obviously when good to go he's in our best 18.. ..will be interesting to see who the sub is [betts?], and how they actually line up.
