First thing pulled out of my memory bank when the siren blew yesterday was Sticks missing that goal:

As I said in the Pros and Cons thread, guess what teams played in that years GF?

Wasn't the Kreuzer cup a draw?

Guys, this clearly isn't about the last draw, just the 1993 draw.

Must have been an empty feeling for Kernahan. Sticks came back the next week and won us the game against the Hawks I think, so there's a degree of vindication in there. If you had to choose though, you'd take kicking the winner against Essendon* rather than the Hawks. I would anyway.

Sticks went back behind the mark and then kicked quickly against the Hawks that game, never gave himself time to think about the kick. Both were great games, the Hawks game defining and setting our season up early on.

So what odds of history repeating again? The Bombers back as the media darlings and no doubt the baby bombers theme being mentioned again. Carlton a team led by a handful of top Enders and questionable bottom end.
