Perhaps you could shed some light then on what match ups White would have been picked for? And the flexibiity that having him in the team provides? Because I am confused and angry right now.

Maybe you could pacify me

No idea, but if you don't think the MC has put a few hours of thought into it you are probably not with the program. I just think we should let the blokes who are paid the big bucks make the decisions. The rest of us couch potatoes should wait to see the results before we hang someone from the highest tree.

dont mean to pry where im not wanted but Ive always wondered what and how your
name 'Cazzesman' is pronounced and what it may mean (aside from a random nickname)
then today I had a moment of clarity and for the very first time read it as
"Cazz's Man" (in other words you are Mrs Caz's better half)
am i right?

Surprised (and disappointed) to see both Duigan and White in the side.

Feeling a little less confident now.

My concern is Duigans performance last week, he looked a little like Army did in his first two season, plenty to work with but a bit clumsy.

Duigan doesn't look anywhere near as athletic as Army though; he moves like he's on tracks.

Ok I'm settling into the options for this team a bit now:

White to Crameri/Monfries
Jamison to Ryder/Hurley
Ladiler to Hurley/Crameri
Russell to Monfries/whoever

The first set is with Ryder in their f50, the second without. I doubt Bellchambers will sit up forward much (41 hitouts last week according to the AFL's stats).

Duigan as the sub; Collins in midfield swapping with Walker.

Jamison on Hurley, White on Ryder.

Duigan on the fraud, can go with him on the lead...just remember to be careful how you spoil. Laidler on Crameri; he doesn't have the leg speed for Monfries.

I thought Hampson was out for 3-4???????

Exactly. Tell me who in that Bombers 22 he'd be an ideal match up on?

Only on the list because we couldn't get pick 90 for him and he was still under contract, and only in the side early due to no Kruezer, Bower, Jamison, Henderson and maybe even O'hAilpin. 4 goals against GC and all is forgiven. Started OK last week (ie took a nice mark) and then went missing until junk time.

So Jimmae do you think Laidler will go to Hurley? I wouldn't have picked that one myself, but it may explain why they would bring in White.

@Cazzesman - I don't usually hop up and down about selection, but anyone with two eyes can see White being consistently exposed in contests and getting teammates into trouble by not talking on field and getting in their way. He was a disaster against Richmond.

He was playing his 7th game and with him was a 1st gamer a 3rd gamer and another who had never played in defense before. I think a little slack might be called for. The defense only gave up 13gls. Don't forget it was also the 1st time all 6 defenders had played together in an AFL game. With Jamo back he has some more direction given to him this week.

I guess you also have to ask who is more in the Clubs future - White or T-bird? You might say Watson but he has another 10+ yrs in him so there is no rush there.

Thornton got shafted, I could name half a dozen worse players than him last Friday night.

It's about fit/balance. Henderson is our number 1 CHF, he's fit now, he plays. Hampson can ruck, Waite - duh, Betts, Garlett.

Thornton is fighting with Walker for the same spot, Walker offers a lot more.
Don't kid yourself that Thornton is a backman any longer.

Well, by the club's own admission the future is now. I accept your view on the Richmond game. That said, I do think his issues go a bit beyond unfamiliarity with teammates. To me that doesn't give him a free pass for not contesting effectively enough one on one when his turn is up. Let's see how he goes with Jamo calling the shots.

TC's great. A few weeks ago on here, White could do no wrong and T-Bird was a disaster area...now we're calling for the MC's collective heads because T-Bird get dropped and White comes in!

Unlike some, I don't really have strong feelings about these changes. Sure, T-Bird & Watson are a bit unlucky.....but I hardly think their omission is the biggest shock since Norm Smith was sacked...

Getting Hendo into the side was a no-brainer. Someone had to make way for him (T-Bird, unlucky).

Watson's unlucky too, but I suspect the MC are trying to manage his workload (he may have pulled up sore after the last 2 weeks?). White gets another chance because (a) we need another tall defender; (b) he played well last week for the Bullants; (c) Bower needs at least another week in the VFL; and (d) the MC don't see a future for T-Bird as a defender.

Duigan, Walker & Collins need good games this week to stay in the side - Ellard, AJ, Armfield & Lucas are breathing down their necks....

Don't care what anyone says, Thornton very unlucky. Carrazzo, Walker and Betts should take out a Tatts ticket together
