I dont think we'd have him chasing Buddy Franklin or Nick Riewoldt around... but I think its worth a try in some situations.. he wouldve been handy down there on Friday night!!

Better find someone, coz poor old Watson is going to get pumped every week if he has to pick up the big forwards. At this point of his career he has to be picking up the lighter framed players.

I don't see Krooz as a backman, can't imagine him there. He'll be short of gallop when he comes back and I don't see him being a big help to us for at least the first half of the season. As for Walls and Parko, it might be something they want Ratts to implement, but I'm hopeful its not something they know will happen.

Got to find another way against the big forwards, Setanta, Bower, T Bird, extra man, whatever, but Krooz and Watson don't look the part at CHB to me.

..the way the game is heading, he's gonna need to be back to full afl fitness, otherwise he cant come in.. ..will need a buncha games at vfl to regain good consistent faith in his leg and also some good match fitness.. ..games faster than ever, afl to vfl gap is widening.. ..honestly wouldn't consider him itno the team til mid season personally.. ..good to have him, but are not yet dieing for him to be rushed back in..

..when fit enough, possibly try him rotating between tall fp and big bodied inside mid.. ..looking at him rucking next year..

No chance for CHB IMO. Too big and immobile agility wise.

Ruckman come resting forward for mine.

He'd make an awesome bigger version of Pavlich in the middle then drfiting forward. Can't wait to see him back in whatever role he plays.

Play him loose running up the wing, Waite in the forward 50m with Henderson and Hammer in defencive 50m. Let Hammer hit packs in the back 50m spoiling the ball for tall forwards.

I don't rate the modern day opinions of the likes of the Parkin's.

Parko said it on AFL Teams.

If it does happen, Bower may find it harder to settle a role in the team once he gets back.

It would only make Bower a better player, playing off the back flank on the second or third tall. Bower is a must in our team

Whatever, and whenever just as long as he has fully recovered - this season will be just a confidence building year and getting rid of the cobwebs after a long spell.

Lets just have Kreuzer return rather than place a spot on him. He is a big guy who has suffered a terrible injury - I'd just be happy to see him back this year in the firsts.

Now before i say what i'm about to say, please please PLEASE don't jump down my throat about this. I'm only voicing a concern.............

My concern is this.

Do we really know where to play Kreuzer to the best of his ability?

I ask this because every 2nd week there is a report that we'll play him as a mobile ruckman, a roving midfielder, a full forward, CHB, etc etc etc.
I think we really need to find a position for Kreuzer and stick to it or else otherwise he's just gonna end up like another Kosi............

I agree Ryan, it's been my worry with Kreuzer ever since he came on down. He'll be a great player no doubt, but for him to become a star, I think he needs to be able to play one position consistently. IMHO, that position eventually will be CHF. Allows him to run and use his athleticism (ala Riewoldt), and take a mark.

As for when he comes back now...I suspect it will be Hampson's spot, with Hampson's role. Although I do like the idea of him Kroozing up and down a wing...

Really like the idea of him on the wing.
Employs his athleticism and mobility to cover the space along there,
his big-bodied grunt work at crucial stoppages through the middle,
and, perhaps most importantly, as a great lead up target as we come out of defense.
With Warnock also presenting elsewhere (while hammer's upforward) you think most teams would find it hard to cover them both with midfielders. Could be a zone/press busting tactic the rest of the league will envy.

Of course our imaginations tend to run wild when thinking of kruezer, often at the expense of what is actually practical.
That's why there have been so many different and sometimes ridiculous positions bandied about while he's been away. I freely admit the wing might be one of them.

Ruckman that contests in the stoppage after the tap, presents through the middle, drops back into the hole and drifts forward.

a.k.a. the 'Dean Cox' role.
