Hey guys, firstly I apologise if people find this a vexatious thread but it had quite a profound effect on me.

I was just doing a bit of Google searching when I came across this list, and it scared the shit out of me:

Quote:
Cain Ackland - Carlton FC
Joe Anderson - Carlton FC
Dennis Armfield - Carlton FC
Mark Austin - Carlton FC
Jordan Bannister - Carlton FC
Clinton Benjamin - Carlton FC
Adam Bentick - Carlton FC
Eddie Betts - Carlton FC
Luke Blackwell - Carlton FC
Paul Bower - Carlton FC
Steven Browne - Carlton FC
Andrew Carrazzo - Carlton FC
Cameron Cloke - Carlton FC
Jake Edwards - Carlton FC
Brendan Fevola - Carlton FC
Brad Fisher - Carlton FC
Bryce Gibbs - Carlton FC
Shaun Grigg - Carlton FC
Richard Hadley - Carlton FC
Shaun Hampson - Carlton FC
Adam Hartlett - Carlton FC
Ryan Houlihan - Carlton FC
Ryan Jackson - Carlton FC
Chris Judd - Carlton FC
Matthew Kreuzer - Carlton FC
Marc Murphy - Carlton FC
Aisake O'hAilpin - Carlton FC
Setanta O'hAilpin - Carlton FC
Darren Pfeiffer - Carlton FC
Jordan Russell - Carlton FC
Jason Saddington - Carlton FC
Heath Scotland - Carlton FC
Kade Simpson - Carlton FC
Nick Stevens - Carlton FC
Bret Thornton - Carlton FC
Jarrad Waite - Carlton FC
Andrew Walker - Carlton FC

If you ever had any reason to be happy, contrast that to our current list. 19 of those names, within around three years, gone. From as objective and unbiased a view as I could possibly hold, that list had about 5-10 redeeming features. Our current list is legitimately gleaming with potential.

What a difference a few years can make...

I'm pretty sure it is. Judd, Kreuzer, Armfield, Hadley and Browne at the very least were our additions over 07/08. I remember how optimistic I was then, and I think now how little I knew of what was to come!
