Whistles are the best idea. Louder than the 50,000 members of the one family.

I am going with my Collingwood supporter daughter :banghead: . I had planned to arrive just before the bounce but she wants to be there for the unfurling. Might have to hide in the toilets for a while.
The footy show last night have a sneek preview of what will happen tonight. They are not content with unfurling a flag but we have to watch some type of light show as well with images of the players being beamed over the stands.

Vomit.

Drop her off outside the ground, go across to the Royal, come back in time for the game. Everyone wins.

Probably not applicable given we'd doubtfully have our own 'section' tonight, but I'd love to see everyone in our 'section' hold up cards over their head (provided to them by the CFC) when instructed. When all cards are held, it shows a navy blue background, but only broken up by some white text.

as Carlton supporters, we need to suck it up and deal with whatever happens tonight. They won the premiership and have the right to do whatever they like. When we win another flag we can do as we please as well. Watch the unfurling and the light show etc, remember it and when its our time to do the same you will enjoy it even more.

I would hate for our cheer squad to do something stupid or our supporters trying to ruin it for Collingwood because it would make us look desperate and disrespectful. It is something Collingwood supporters would do to us and not the other way around.

Cop it on the chin, suck it up and concentrate on the how the Blues will play.

Saw that, it's very "Olympic opening ceremony" and more than a little OTT, has Fat Ed's fingerprints all over it.

Yep...we should unfurl 16 flags at the same time.

Don't yell out anything.

Put in a call to Stephen Gough to tell them they have to unfurl it in the Wayne Harmes pocket.

....and also get Goughy to cut the rope until it is almost frayed, so the act of raising the flag actually makes it fall down.

And get him to cut the power.

Well said. Fair dinkum, a lot of the comments expressed here are pathetic. They won, we haven't for 16 years. Its a no contest

Hear, hear.

I actually like the idea of them building themselves up like football gods, (not that I'm planning on watching it).
I think that part of the problem at Collingwood, (and let's face it they do have a problem), is that they get so
much adulation that they start believing that they really are supermen.

And then they crash and burn.

Hope it's tonight.

Someone mention my name?

Forget the flag, the only thing that will shut the bogans up is when we win the game. And it will be all the sweeter for it.

I liked the "Not as Sweet As 16" banner thing the Carlton Cheersquad had! It was like a little silent protest!

(And, during the game, i had pies people behind me saying that "Geez, that Judd, he's just incredible", and they were serious, not being shit at all. I was quite amazed!)
