By the way, when any Collingwood moron refers to Carlton being "salary cap cheats" or some such crap, I suggest reference to John Wren's habit of rewarding Collingwood players with bonuses after all winning games.

An inference that this practice, in contravention of the "Coulter Law", may have been a factor in the winning of the 1927-30 flags usually results in a highly-satisfying outpouring of bile (satisfying for us, bile from them).

Try it some time.

Key Carlton players strangely not turning up to some Collingwood matches in 1890's.
Defection of Carlton players to Collingwood in mid 1890's severe economic depression.
Some players accused of "playing dead" in the 1910 Grand Final, and the only time they have beaten Carlton.
This is how they showed their gratitude for Carlton helping them to become a senior VFA club in the first place, and the Blues donating their home game gate takings to them.
Collingwood and most clubs have been caught breaking the salary cap. AFL was going to go through each club's dealings, but only Carlton was made an example of.
The wheel is about to turn, and this week hopefully, the Blues' fortunes are on the way up.

Pies selectors facing dilemma
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/p ... 1cynr.html

Two comments already about Judd and Brownlow votes. I wonder if they will publish my comment about Filth supporters not being able to count properly seeing as Swan finished 3rd behind two players not just Chris Judd.

Out of interest I had a quick look at the main Collingwood forum (magpies.net) to see what the pies supporter are saying about this weeks game. Was expecting a bit of venom, but their spitefulness goes beyond mere sporting rivalry. They really are the league's most horrible, filthy supporters.

Here are some of the charming comments...

jack_spain: "Could we just let the Freight Train run through Judd? This new concussion rule actually provides an incentive to knock a bloke out doesn't it?"

Pebbles Rocks: "There is always an incentive to knock out a scum player"

Usurper: "Looking forward to belting the filthy scum to a pulp. I want a solid 4 qtr in-your-face premiership flag unfurling. I want their spirit broken. I want them destroyed beyond redemption. Would be good to have Judd knee-capped at some stage too. I want tears damnit."

Piesnchess: "grind them into the turf and leave them bloody and destroyed, we take no prisoners, whip these cheating bastards into oblivion Maggies.!!"

a simple change of Judd to Didak/Swan!
a simple change of scum to FILTH!

Yeah i'm happy with that!

was this you:

Quote:
Brownlow 2010 placings.
1. Chris Judd
2. Gary Ablett
3. Dane Swan.

Yes, your tattooed messiah who can barely string a sentence together without saying "mate" several times was third. Beaten by two players, not just Chris Judd.

I was not so polite and used the word "feral" a few times!

I wonder if their supporters are doing their "BROWNLOW!" yell every time Swan goes near the ball still?

And the hypocrisy of Pies mob having a go at the way Judd transferred to Carlton. We paid a fair price and acted according the the draft rules.

But how did Buckley get to Collingwood from Brisbane :?: :?: :?: That was all above board and according to AFL rules wasn't it?

Revenge is a dish best served cold.. We have to make amends for our inept performance against them last year. Play the b*stards at their own game.. Gav Brown will know their tricks of the trade... We have a nice habbit of spoiling people's parties... We 'll see who ll be celebrating come Friday night

Someone will use this tactic in a Final or Grand Final, 2 players KO'd early in the game would destroy a team.

I'm guessing you missed the 1973 Grand Final...?

Great point, BUT do you really think the average moronic Pies supporter will have a clue what you are talking about????

When you say John Wren they will say whats rejecting tuna got to do with this???? :donk:

Brilliant!

Those that forget their history are condemned to repeat it - and that in a nutshell explains why every Collingwood fan is an IQ deficient, toothless moron that deserves Eddie McGuire as a their President.

If its good enough for these knobs to accuse us of cheating to win our flags then its our flowering duty to ensure they know they bought everyone of those 4 flags in a row in contravention of the VFL rules at the time.
