Out of interest I had a quick look at the main Collingwood forum (magpies.net) to see what the pies supporter are saying about this weeks game. Was expecting a bit of venom, but their spitefulness goes beyond mere sporting rivalry. They really are the league's most horrible, filthy supporters.

Here are some of the charming comments...

jack_spain: "Could we just let the Freight Train run through Judd? This new concussion rule actually provides an incentive to knock a bloke out doesn't it?"

Pebbles Rocks: "There is always an incentive to knock out a scum player"

Usurper: "Looking forward to belting the filthy scum to a pulp. I want a solid 4 qtr in-your-face premiership flag unfurling. I want their spirit broken. I want them destroyed beyond redemption. Would be good to have Judd knee-capped at some stage too. I want tears damnit."

Piesnchess: "grind them into the turf and leave them bloody and destroyed, we take no prisoners, whip these cheating bastards into oblivion Maggies.!!"

at least there were a couple witty remarks,

in ref to footy being live

It's a win for all. For the BH&G fans they'll still see plenty of blood and bone, horseshit, pansies, pests & vegies. It's just that they'll be wearing navy blue

I've read worse stuff on this forum about our own players.

Someone will use this tactic in a Final or Grand Final, 2 players KO'd early in the game would destroy a team.

Just on that topic, I heard that a Collingwood supporter invented the toothbrush. A supporter of any other club would have called it the teethbrush!

Sounds like my exact thoughts on the Essendon* football club. Nothing to see here.

I was driving to work on Saturday night at 11:30 (Yeah, I work weird hours) and listening to SEN.

Some show came on with Plough and Scott Lucas (or Nathan Thompson, I can't tell the difference).

SL (or NT) "Our first caller is Shithead from Collingwood: G'day Shithead. What would you like to talk about?"

"Collingwood"

"They are going well. What in particular would you like to discuss?"

"You reckon we will win 4 flags in a row?"

I didn't hear SL (or NT)'s reply as I'd turned the radio off.

By the way, when any Collingwood moron refers to Carlton being "salary cap cheats" or some such crap, I suggest reference to John Wren's habit of rewarding Collingwood players with bonuses after all winning games.

An inference that this practice, in contravention of the "Coulter Law", may have been a factor in the winning of the 1927-30 flags usually results in a highly-satisfying outpouring of bile (satisfying for us, bile from them).

Try it some time.
