I don't think Ratts and the team have to over think this game to much. Let them worry about our gun players. Let them worry about our strength and fitness. And let them worry about how they are going to to stop us from scoring 15+ gls as we have in many games against far better sides.

If we play powerful, aggressive, hard running football the young GC bodies will soon feel the pressure and wilt.

And, all supporters should recognise when a player is asked to perform roles he is not physically equipped to perform well.
Thornton is no ruck nor KPD imo. In fact as mentioned before, even Jamison and White struggle against taller and heavier opponents.
It has nothing to do with their ability to play AFL football. TBird in the ruck against Sandilands is a great example of that.

I don't know how Scarlett does it, but he usually performs well against bigger opponents, but does get found out against the ruckmen or 200cm players; but then again he's the AA FB.

We have no player who can quell Jonathan Brown AFAIK. Setanta's done better than Waite, Bower, Jamo, White and Austin.

This is why the recruitment of Watson at 195cm and 101 kg is a step in the right direction for the back half.
