I reckon we could have 5 or 6 debut

Collins 1130
Curnow 1131
Duigan 1132
Laidler 1133
Watson 1134

and possibly Casboult 1129 (if Casbout doesnt play and those 5 do then drop the number back by one)

I am with you with these 3. It will be a very inexperienced backline if these 3 do debut together.

Inexperienced in terms of AFL games played sure, but maturity wise Laid & Duigs both have wise heads on them and wouldn't be overawed by the occasion. Watson looks like a real goer so, get him in there....

Factoring in Simpson, Scotland, Walker, Armfield & Carrazzo? Who do you drop?

Questions over Carrots' fitness.
I'd consider Collins over Scotland, but doubt the MC would do that.

Scotland would be on the of the first picked I would think. He has been a machine for the last 3 seasons.

Scotland scheduled to play his 200th no way he'll miss for Collins

Very exciting prospect with the blues likely to start 2011 with four new back half faces - Laidler, Watson, Duigan, Yarran.

Can see the headlines on Friday after a win. Noone could claim we aren't serious about addressing our historical weakness.

It will be a pretty gutsy move to go into a game with that many debutants in your back six.

White' fitness may have a bearing on Watson.

Let's say they bring in Thornton to cover Jamo and provide the blanket on Riewoldt if it's required.

If White isn't looking good, then Watson would slip straight in. From what I have seen, he wouldn't be overawed. He knows what he should be doing at any given moment. He'll be fine.

Duigan looks a cert.

Collins for Houlihan, and Laidler for Carrots?

Carrots looked short of a good run or two when he played the Cats.

So there - I'll say four.

Laidler is probably a lock to play third tall in defence for the foreseeable future, so not sure why it's Laidler for Carrazzo?

Really? In that case I will retract, I thought he was a smaller type we'd use to run and carry off HB. I've misread him totally it appears!

I think you have.

I reckon Duigan, Laidler, Watson are a dead certaintly.

And I'll punt on Collins, but I can't see who he'd replace.

Collins however like others is also recovering from serious pre xmas surgery. He only got into competitive work only a few weeks now.
I am aware he did build a good fitness base after he was recruited and before surgery.

Go Blues

Collins doesn't sound fit to me. Would love him to tear into the ferals to show them what they let go, but I think he'll miss.

Laidler and Duigan seem like certainties.

I would like to see Watson dropped into the big time (it's only Richmond, not Collingwood), but equally happy for White to get a run.

I think they are keen to get Curnow out there and he will be in for Carrots or Murphy if they miss.

With Tuohy selected to play he will be our 6th debutant - 4th AFL debutant - for the year:

- Curnow
- Duigan
- Watson
- Tuohy
- Collins (Carlton)
- Laidler (Carlton)

6 new players in 10 games says something. (Does it?)

This will mark the first time in 7 years that we've seen Guernsey #42 in navy blue. Anyone remember who last wore it?

Always wanted Beasy to make it. Reminded me of a John Nicholls type ruckman. Big body, contested well, had a thumping kick on him. Just 10cm too short for a modern ruck. :(

At one stage it looked Craig Flint may have cracked it for a game in the No.42 - played some good footy in the magoos, then he got listed, injured and fell away.

Well, Eddie Betts is just 30cm too short for a modern ruck. It's not fair, is it!!!
