Disclaimer: I’m generally a nervous Nellie. After a relatively smooth pre-season, we seem to be dropping like flies right before round 1. Some might say ‘it’s just the Tigers’ however I am concerned. With Jamo suspended, Bower out (allegedly) and now Murphy and Yarran apparently out, this will not be a walk in the park. I fear we’ll be in a dog fight just to get the win.

It’ll get very ugly if we lose.

Have to admit if those 4 actually miss then this game will be tough.

Reality? We have smashed them in the last two years and whatever is purported re exclusions, we actually have to again. The Juddmeister did not play last year; our development is at least two years ahead of their development so this one is a given for me. If not? Well I lose Carlton and Australia in both comps I am avid about on the same night. RSI of the remote control

Let's be realistic here; Richmond will play a few first gamers, they have another half dozen with under 20 games experience, a key forward who's short on match fitness and they are coming off a terrible preseason, highlighted by a belting at the hands of the crows.

Bower, Jamison, Murphy, Yarran, and even throw in Judd could miss this week and I would still expect a win.

Well Grigg going to them has actually improved the overall kicking skills of both teams!! :smoking: :smoking:

Don't undersell the value of Grigg. He kicked three in this game last year. Whilst some on this site don't rate him, the club apparently tried hard to keep him during trade week. We know there is no sentiment in footy so he must have been rated as a keeper. The kid can play. I hope he has a great season but not starting until round two...

I will be flying over tomorrow for the game with Blue Beatle and Mrs Sombrero, who loves the footy even though she is Mexican. She loves Eddie Betts so I hope he has a blinder. I'm pretty sure she'll have a couple more favourites after tomorrow night. Maybe Garlett, Yarran or Walker. She likes players who run with the footy.

Go Blues.

If we are talking about goals such as winning a final or making top 4 then whoever is in the 22 needs to step up and grind out a win despite injuries.

The Tigers weren't really in contention for the 8 last year. We should be able to overcome 4 injuries and lift, despite their hunger to beat us. That is what good teams with depth do.

Blues by 14 points
