Whats wrong with Bower?

People who went the sponsor's dinner came back reporting he has a foot injury with 2 - 3 weeks on the sidelines, other people have popped up to say it's a 6 week ankle injury.

This match started at 7:10pm last year. I guess with Ch 10 agreeing to go live with the game that the AFL have decided to push the start time back 1/2 hour.

Meanwhile it starts at 8.30pm on CH 10 here in WA. :( If only the Odin Tavern was in the City!

Lose and it's season over.

Kind of feels like that for me tbh - I'm packing my dacks ( ) over this game, moreso than last years first game without Fev.

I believe we're a far better team than the tiggies, just not sure what Carlton team will run out on Thursday night.

I reckon it's game such as this, that we SHOULD win, that make a difference as to whether we might finish top 6 instead of top 8 after the H&A.

yeah..and our footskills running out of defense will be weak..
so I reckon we'll only win by about 58.

Go boys. Yee Hah!

Richmond supporters seem pretty confident just going by what some of them are saying. They keep saying they have had a great week and will beat us.. I happen to think we will smash them personally. we have a good chance of going 3-1 after round 4. Glad its back

Like a few of the other fans on here im getting a bit nervous for Thursday night  :yikes:

I know they have riewoldt who may cause some headaces for us with Jamo out ... but then I remember they need to get the ball down to him in the first place. With the likes of Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Scotland (in his 200th), Carrazzo, Yarran, Betts, Waite, Simpson, Russell etc. I can't see our guns being out played by enough of their players to win the game.

I think with Thornton's experience he should be good enough to keep an under done riewoldt to less than 4 goals. Along with a combination of Duigan, Laidler, Russell, Watson, Yarran, Armfield, White etc. should be enough to get in riewoldts way.

Not than Im hoping it comes to this but we also have the option of swinging Waite and or Walker back down there if need be.

What's the deal with Bower? Is he definitely out for Thursday nights game?

Cheers, Tommy

That is so spectacularly incorrect that I didn't bother reading the rest of the article. Have you watched anything other than Lionel Ritchie in the last 10 Grand Finals? If they're not flogging an old concept, they're clueless.

Comment was published.

Nah, I'm very nervous. Richmond have been setting themselves up for this since round22 last year. Will be interesting to see how the boys handle it. Last weeks Richmond praccy result smells to me.
Hope I'm wrong.

We beat Crows 4 goals at Visy in a praccy.

Next week Tigers hammered by Crows at Visy by 68 points. 32 scoring shots to 14, if you don't mind.

This is a fair indication as to where these clubs are placed at the minute, without being too simplistic. Oh, and 3 of the past 4 games have resulted in 10 plus goal Tiger beltings.

Blues by 8 goals, no Jamo and Bower will keep it under 50pts (maybe).

Defeat is not an option for a team with top 6 (possibly top 4) aspirations.

We've been setting ourselves up too.

Doesn't everyone remember how nervous you all were this time last year. "No Fev, no Carlton". Then we went out and smashed the Tiges.

We have a couple of injuries, notably Kreuzer, Bower, and a suspension in Jamison, but if we can't beat the Tiges, pleazzzzzzzzze.

Blues by 68, 70, 72, 79, 81, 82, 87, or even 95 points.

Mind you, just a win would also be nice.

The "great week" was them receiving charity from supporters to pay off a debt. I fail to see how that will translate to their skills improving dramatically.....
