Agreed.

Can someone tell me what the issue is?

Is it a case of guy's wanting to stay on the board? OR is it just the way the board is structured.?

If it's a matter of people being reluctant to quit the board, what's the attraction of being a board member? I would have thought most board members would have plenty of other things (ones that make them money) to do.

with reference to the above criticisms of process and transparency.....this is very much valid perspective.

However, overwhelmingly i can only take positives from her appointment. Despite the obvious advantages she brings....the fact we have engaged a very tough female and afforded her a 'senior' title, suggests to me that the 'off field game' will be challenged and will evolve in shape and substance.



Have to agree LB - Boards appoint members all the time there is nothing sinister in all this.

There is definitely a message in giving her the title "Senior VP" - and hopefully it will lead to a streamlining of the board.

This is a great appointment - and also means that all board members and administration at Carlton are on notice to perform. :clap:

Being given the title of Senior Vice President is not an accident - it basically gives her the role of Deputy Chairman of the Board - so if Kernahan steps aside, resigns or is unable to fulfil his duties as President then she will be acting President.

Well she is as good as President now anyway. What board member would oppose anything she said?
