Hey guys,

I have a long distance 5 carlton membership and me and the family want to go to the game am I best to book through the club or just general admission???

My brother just got our tickets over the phone at Ticketmaster - sitting in Section 15 behind the goals

He said the tickets cost about $20 each and they are reserved seats!!!

Spirit of Carlton has a function at the Post Office Hotel that costs $60 or $110 if you want a seat to teh game as well, Buckley, Sheldon and Southby will host this event.

Only just got a letter from the club outlining tickets for members, its a bit strange that they send this out after general public tickets are released?!?! and secondly it notes that long Distance 5 members general admission is covered in the membership so you only need to pay for reserved seating which is fair but its $32, I bought tickets for $20?!?! is this just the area the seats are?

Any AFL members who ordered tickets to this game got them yet???? Got mine today in the mail.

Looks like I am in bay 11 and not too far from the front. Happy with my seats!

Heading up this Saturday so was a little worried they wouldn't arrive in time.

Will enjoy a week off in the sunshine(hopefully) state before the game.

It is an absolute sweat box up here at the moment. It is predicted to be showery and warm next Saturday so conditions could play into Gold Coasts hands...

Fly in with my younger brother - getting a Jetstar flight from Tulla at about 8am (he went for the cheapest the bugger and its 8am out from Bris Vegas the next morning).

I guess we might know more after tomorrow's VFL practice match, but players that could be in the mix for selection this week-

Hendo
Bower
Ellard
Brock (if fit? - rumour mill has him back on the injured list)
Collins
Watson
AJ (I know taggers are out of fashion, but I reckon he'd be in the MC's contemplation given his decent record against Ablett).

Who might come out of the side? Assuming there's no new injuries and Waite avoids suspension, you'd expect that Lucas, T-Bird and White are the 3 most likely to come under scrutiny. Yarran, despite his strong pre-season form & his importance to us in the long-term, will be looked at closely too if the MC are unhappy with his performance last night and with how he trains this week. And Scotland & Carrazzo are 2 experienced players that I think will need to consistently play better than they did last night to hold their spots in the side as the likes of Ellard, Collins, Brock, Twomey, Hoops, Davies, AJ, Cachia & Touhy force their way in as the season unfolds...

It'll be a 'horses for courses' approach to selection, but I think there might be 2-3 changes this week.

I thought Scotland had a solid game ABNS, otherwise I agree entirely. Haven't done much homework on the Suns, so not too much of an idea on how they'll line up.

I'm heading up...hoping for a better result than my one and only interstate footy trip, the elimination final last year. The atmosphere when we got in front then was awesome though so plenty more of that please
