It's a sound strategy match your management to your clubs needs at a certain period of time. As organisations evolve very few are able to keep the same CEO's etc for extended periods of time, particularly if the club needs a huge shake-up.
I believe Swann started at the "pies when they were a basket case, just like at Carlton.
It may well be the case that Swann is a "change manager" i.e. someone bought in to shake things up, and lay a template for sucess in the future. I've known guy's who's entire career was being brought in to smash the internal workings of companies and remould them in a more effective design. After 1-3 years they move on and do it somewhere else.
After that different management maybe needed to take the club forward.
I don't know if Swann is the best person to be CEO for the next 5 years, but he was certainly an important part of our improvement in the last 4.
I think you have summed up my way thinking fairly well
Swann - it aint personal, its business

I don't know Iagree with you. He's in the Chair now and asan outsider the club appearstobeon the right track. We are certainly a much better club than when he got there.
Just because a guy has his fingers in everything does not mean he's doing a bad job.
He may well be the best at everything.
The truth is this is all hearsay and speculation from second hand sources. He appears to have had a big influence on some very big decisions including getting Judd , getting good assistants, and the Fev masterstroke. I find his media style refreshing and he does not let anyone hang sh1t on us. Not bad for a non-blue.
I'm happy for him to stay as long as we continue toimprove. It'sthat simple
