Take her to a game, buy her a beanie, cap or jumper and Get an autograph.

.........and kill the mother. It's the only way to be sure.

Bus shelter, you're assuming she could afford a bus :sly:

Hang on this is my wife we're talking about

I think once I start taking the boy to the games, she will become jealous. Last night I told her if she continued to be naughty I wouldn't buy her a Collingwood membership, she said "fine, I don't want one anyway". Trick question, got the answer I wanted

Renewed mine on Thursday...better late than never I suppose. Hopefully the AFL membership department send it out in time for the season proper.

I haven't recieved my pack yet [which isn't the problem]. But did everyone else [particularly those who signed up before Christmas] get a letter confirmed your re-newal? I signed up in the first week of December and haven't heard one word from the club. The few other members I've spoken to [some interstate] all got a confirmation & thank you letter, and some got their entire pack last week.

Got my card before Christmas I think and I got my pack last week so I would definitely call them as they've most likely stuffed up. They do that a lot.

Cheers. The girl in the shop wasn't the most friendly of people, but she did say I wouldn't get my card til seating had been allocated, so that didn't worry me. Just, lack of confirmation.
I'll call when I'm not in a bad mood I think!

Received my 9 month (already a 2nd year member) old baby boys BABY BLUE members pack today.

I have to say I am very impressed by the contents and also amused.

It came with a baby blanky with the CFC logo everywhere (awsome) and a baby plush footy.

Here is the amusing part. It also came with a scarf (same as the adult members) and the voucher for a hat.

Not sure about a BABY BLUE member wearing a hat or scarf (spares for me)

But overall for the $60 I paid, this is great value.

Is it sad I am sleeping with the blanky tonight?

GREAT EFFORT FROM CFC

No problem.

1. Tell her you spoke to a guy (me) who has seen the bluebaggers win 8 EIGHT flags and tell her to go ask the mom how many she (or her father) has seen.

2. If she is music conscious let her listen to that dirge of a theme song.

3. If she is fashion conscious tell her blue and white are in fashion.

4. And if she still is not convinced, take her to a colonwood game and sit with the cheer squad. Guaranteed to scare the living daylights out of any 4 year old ever born. And most adults.

5. And if that still doesn't work, PUT HER NEXT TO JOFFA.

Can I ask, why did you marry a colonwood supporter in the first place? Mind you I did and she is now a paid up Carlton member and comes to every home game. Drives her brother a rabid colonwood fan nuts, bless her soul.

Good news for Canberra-based fans, the club will have membership tent at Manuka Oval on Saturday.

They'll get at least two new renewals. Would be awesome if it became an annual tradition.

This is one area the club really needs to look at.

Go to a Sturt game over here and the amount people in Carlton gear is mind boggling.

Theres a reason why they've scheduled a Sturt v Magpies SANFL game before the Carlton v Port game, as they know that just about all the Sturt people will hang around a get a dose of Blue fever!

Hope they have a merchandise stand etc like they did last year too.

30, 256 members so far.

Still about 1000 behind St Kilda, maybe we need a scandal to move things along?

sj, how do you think we'd go in crowd/member terms if we played a 'home' game vs crows or Port at the Adelaide Oval. Would we nearly sell it out?

Yes but ticket prices have been traditionally lower in SA, so there's not much money to be made.
