Dont forget to shown them your membership card to get a discount. I think around 10-15%. I bought some stuff recently and if I hadnt asked I wouldn't have known.

All shop staff should ask customers as a matter of course if they have their membership card to get the discount and if they dont have it handy then it can be looked up via the membership database (provided the correct ID can be provided by the customer) - and if all that fails the shop staff should ask the customer if they would like to join.

Good points - I bought something after the first intra-club and wasn't asked the question if I was a member. The amount of discount wouldn't have been massive, but the question wasn't asked nonetheless.

Yeh I was not asked as well. I did not know we got a discount, usually we get coupons. I was surprised when she swiped my membership card and I saved around $10 from a $60 purchase.

They have a long way to go.

Just by asking the question is could be a potential membership sale lead.

I have a mental issue with paying $95 for a kids' jumper.
My brain just won' let me do it.

G.J. Coles had the right idea.

20 things at a shilling made you as much profit as one thing at one pound.

Looks simply superb. Trouble is they keep growing!
My daughter's first one was a hand-me-down from my granddaughter. Her second one probably will be also. I get the new ones only for the granddaughter so at least I have that to be thankful for.

If you are confused about how my granddaughter seems to be older than my daughter, see my comments on age and performance in the 80's vs 90's Parko's teams thread. :smoking:

BS I am one who will never criticise or comment on families, I have No.5 on the way in June and they are all accustomed to the hand me down syndrome with Carlton jumpers

When I am asked how many brothers and sisters I have I can only comment I think its about 10 or 11 that I know off - my dad was married three times and I have ived with 3 of them and only met 2 of the others before????? The old man was a bit of a rabbit and moved around after teh WWII and he was in his mid / late 40's when me and my two youngest siblings were born!!

When it comes to families, I will never be judgemental, as people in glass houses.....................

The way the discount works is on membership years. So from memory the first year member gets 5% and it goes up from there, I do remember it being on the new membership promotion.
