Good news for the 3 new guys and I look forward to seeing them lead by example onfield with lots of gut running offensively and defensively.

Just watched the interview with all three, seems that shaving your head was a criteria for being in the leadership group. I am sure i heard Murphy say that there will be many years ahead of playing with the group and that they will all come through together being of similar ages.

Don't hold your breath. This is starting to look like the Ablett saga. Same situation, similar words from the players re contracts.

I think the names of players going to GWS is about to heat up. This morning KB said that the rumour going around is that they have signed 5 players. While i didnt hear him apparently Eddie Maguire said on his show that Tom Scully is signed, sealed and delivered to GWS. The 4 other players werent mentioned, i hope Murphy isnt one of them.
Sad thing about this is that GWS has 2 years to sign up players so this will on for another 18 months.

Whispers on 3AW mentioned 5 players had signed with GWS last night. Whispers also mentioned that Demetriou was staggered at the quality of the players that they had already signed.
I've said it before and I'll say it again if Murphy's manager utters these words ..... we will hold off talks to the end of the year then he is gone.
The longer the season progresses and Murp has not signed with us then the more likely he is gone. If you look at the GC17 strike rate, Pavlich was just about the only player that did not sign a contract until the end of the year that did not go to them.

I have been told by a pretty good source that Murphy and his manager don't get along and he is moving to Pickering at the end of the season...

We all know who his client was....

GC17 Captain...

Look, if it is going to be worst case scenario and he leaves, MM has an AA year, top 5 Brownlow and we get maximum compensation.

not much you can do when it is not a level playing field

Did you expect Demetriou to answer honestly and say that the newest club is struggling to sign players?

Jacobs and Grigg were out of contract, but moved to the Crows and Tigers instead of the Gold Coast. Rumours are just hot air after we expected Grigg to move to the Suns, not Richmond.

Kouta let me clear some things up for you;
Demetriou has made no public comment about the GWS signings and "Whispers" reports rumours to be fact. I have listened to 3AW for a while and "Whispers" has a pretty good strike rate with his rumours.
Why would you even bother mentioning Jacobs and Grigg in the same breath as Pavlich?

How will this go on for 18 months? they'll be playing AFL this time next year

ps. The filth have a few players out of contract this year including swan, thomas and pendlebury. Here's hoping they all go

Eddie along with most other people working within the AFL media/sports radio are liars. Eddie in particular is on his own agenda, probably trying to take the heat away from his uncontracted players at Collingwood. KB is known for over exaggerating stories to build up a conversation on radio, its his job so don't believe him.

If you think about what the most likely situation is then Carlton are currently working on a contract for Murphy and he is waiting to see it before he makes any decisions.

Do not believe anything until it happens and stop worrying
