Sorry Terry highly doubt having Jordan Gysberts and Chris Masten would win us a premiership

15... Sydney will beat us once.

As long as we are 4-1 after round 5 I'm happy. Anything less and top 4 will be difficult!

13 will get us to 6-7th possie going into the finals.
14 will get us 5-7
15 will get us 4-5
16 will gt is top 4

I see us at 13-14. We have a tendency to drop the ones we should win a la Bombers, North last year plus the elim.

No way will we beat Collingwood unless our skill levels increase dramatically to allow us not to lose possession so much. They remain the benchmark
Geelong is gone and will finish 4-8
Bullies are desperate but IMO have seen their best days. 4-5
StK may be scarred enough to drop a few extra games. 2-5
Freo you can never tell but if Sandilands stays on the park will be 6-8
Melbourne will finish 7-8
Adelaide who knows, 5-10
Hawks could do anything or nothing. 4-6
Us, 5-7 if we can keep players on the park. Waite, you are one we need to fire in the best possible way. Keep your elbows down.

My 8 before a ball is bounced:

Collingwood
StK
Dogs
Hawks
Geel
Carl
Freo
Melb
----------------
North, Adelaide, Sydney and maybe Richmond (on the second half of last year's form) to fight out 9th-12th
Brisbane 13th
Suns 14th
Spoon?
WCE, Port or Essendon*

13 wins 9 losses, an elimination final victory at the G followed by a 4-6 goal defeat in the semi.

Thats being realistic but hoping we win more.

14 or 15 for mine, Given our habit of dropping games we shouldn't I would have selected higher

Decent run with injuries:
13/14 wins

Bad run with injuries:
10 wins

Luck/good management is so important.

Top 4 and fairly comfortably.

A lot of you seem to be assuming that we'll improve incrementally over the next couple of years until we're a genuine challenger. I don't reckon it works that way. I think it's far more likely that we'll do what most teams on the rise do and that's have a breakout season. No reason it shouldn't be this year.

Another 20 games into the best 22 will see us pretty well placed going into the finals.

Between 6-10

Defence still a shambles but coming together - 2 quality defenders away
Forward line still needs a quality power forward take some pressure off Waite and Kruizer whom are not natural forwards...they compliment a power forward without being a power forward themselves.

Midfield really needs to show some unsociable stuff if we are to get above sixth,

I think we have a long way to go... we have this solid build up of dead wood.

just revisited this with the help of Ladder predictor, I have us finishing on 16 and a half wins..........with West Coast on 17 wins.

Ladder as follows:
Collingwood
Geelong
Hawthorn
West Coast
Carlton
Sydney
St Kilda
North

Melbourne
Richmond
Bulldogs

FINALS:
Week 1
Collingwood D West Coast
Carlton D North
Sydney D St Kilda
Geelong D Hawks

Week 2
Carlton D West Coast (at WA)
Hawks D Sydney (In NSW)

Week 3
dreaming that Hawks beat Pies and Blues beat Cats.......

http://www.afl.com.au/bailey%20ladder%20predictor/tabid/13046/default.aspx

I have us losing to Collingwood and Hawthorn. West Coast only losing one more game, to Geelong. Hopefully Freo can do them also.

west coast will lose more than 1 game, freo may do em and maybe saints or dogs in melbourne.

the predictor is fun to do but sheesh we're all as fickle as the next, when i did it 6 weeks ago i didnt expect Essendon* to lose 5 in a row. i do it every week and its never the same. i didnt have the roos winning 4 in a row either

Agreed, it's going to be a nail biter.

Eagles are $30 for the flag. If they get a home final or two.

Looking at the draw, the Hawks could hae a stumble or two. I really think that their precision/risky kicking system might struggle against switched on opposition.

Haha it wouldn't surprise me if West Coast beat Geelong next week and then lose "winnable" games at Etihad against St Kilda, Bulldogs & Melbourne. Also have the derby so to say West Coast will go from 3 wins to 17 in one year is fanciful to say the least.
