Who do you prefer in the R1 starting 22 or can we afford both?

..both fit, are good enough to play.. ..they need not be on the field at the same time, and could possibly be rotated together from field to bench and vice versa.. ..McLean also has elite endurance..

For mine: McLean. Both are tackling machines, but McLean is physically bigger (albeit not much taller) and has better skills. If he's over his injury issues, he's an asset.

With some of the additions secured in the off-season, there's an opportunity for guys like Walker, Russell & Carrazzo to provide a little relief if need be.

I've picked Ellard over McLean because Ellards last game (a final) was fantastic, and he'd have to be faster than McLean.

Having said that I hold high hopes for McLean to shine in 2011.

McLean is a much better all round footballer but you can guarantee Ellard will be doing absolutely everything he can to win a spot.

Unfortunately for Ellard, even if he is better than Brock, he may not get the nod coz he didn't cost us a first round pick.
