So was Diesel ?? Diesel could shoot a handball 30 to 35m like a bullett pass to a running players and almost knock the wind out of his sails for his efforts. When McLean can do this he has my stamp of approval to be as slow as he wishes.

It's sad when one has to explain the context of a 5 word post......but here goes...sigh.

I meant Diesel's leg speed........................................DUH.

You have to admit comparing Diesel with McLean is still funny... considering the game's speed has gone up a few notches.

I understood completely, which is why I said if Brock can dispose the ball by hand as quick and accurate as Diesel, he could be a snail for all I care. Not bagging you or putting you on the spot champ.

Diesel was very fast when he was younger and with the swans IMO. Lost a great deal of pace as he aged, but the quality of his disposals really started to shine. Brock never looked to have pace ever. Strange for a fella in the middle of the ground. Isn't Diesel like in his disposals at all. Dump the spud if he doesn't do something this year. Hope he does for his sake and ours though. Judd can't be doing all the work for the likes of this guy forever. Good luck Brock.

Apologies, but have to disagree with this. I saw Diesel when he was playing for Geelong and he was not quick then, not quick at Sydney either, although the smaller ground may have made him look quicker.

IIRC he was passed over by Carlton because he was considered too slow before ending up at Geelong.
