$15k for a membership?

No wonder we're lagging behind other clubs.

Saw this on Saturday when I did mine, along with brother's and dad's too. So 3 more to add!

Haven't done mine yet, probably won't until January either. Money's a bit tight this time of year.

14,042 currently.

Compared to Collingwood 33k / Hawthorn 30k / Essendon* 26k.

Collingwood is doing a massive TV commercial and including the B&W Army in it.
Hawthorn is handing out stuff to kids in Tassie at every opportunity.
Essendon* has just got James Hird and Bomber back on deck to prevent the ship from going under.

Carlton is telling its members they can't take photos of the players at training.

Get the picture?

You can't compare our situation to that at Essenscum IMO.

Membership is currently 17,089 according to the website and we are looking at 20,000 by Christmas.

Looks like the MCC have been officially contacted by the CFC regarding some sort of membership package. Watch this space...

Yep. It's in the membership booklet: that's the silver package. Gold package is $234 for a reserved seat.

I get it.

I haven't bought my 20 odd memberships, plus all the other 20 odd kids' memberships, like I said I wouldn't. I want to though, but I have stick thick with my moral stance on this...like I said I would. Yes it's a bit embarrassing, but I'm only telling you guys here on TC.

No training sessions. no photos, no communication, no good news stories...not much is bubbling at the club other than the development of our kids. But that list has been put together over 5-6 years, not 2010. Off field, it aint the Comms Dept, nor the board that is inspiring me, and they are not providing any excietement for me. Then there's the Goddard article. FFS. What a bunch of fools.

I want to see some change from last year in terms of positive behaviour towards our fans...from those in high places off field before I bust a move. What about the bullshit we're hearing that if Ratts had his way he would have all training sessions closed. What a flower. Cut your nose to spite your face. Walking dedicated fans out of the ground. WTF?

ASAIC we have a lot of improvement to make off field, and I should expect that at the very least. Normally I'd purchase 2 raffle tickets, and yesterday I got a call from a telemarketer asking me what I'd do with $30K if I'd won it. I told them I'd invest it in the Comms Dept, but they're telling everyone they are doing a great job. I don't think the board knows what is really going on with the Comms Dept.

Maybe I have missed something inspirational that our board or Comms Dept have done. From what I'm being told from CFC supporters in Melbourne, nothing has changed. The market reseasrch conducted by the club is telling our leaders off field that we're doing a great job...compared to who? Every other clubs seems to be making bigger and better noise for their supporters than those coming from CFC.

I'm leaving Sydney tonioght and heading to Melb. I wonder if the club will let me and my kids into training sessions when I'm down there? I have no idea. I aint parting a cent for that board till I see if they welcome me and my devoted kids to training.

Lets see if the figures go up or down again in 2011. Take the supporters for granted? Then I'll take the club for granted.

Go Bluebaggers.

first of all 20K member by the end of the year would be a record for us. Bombers and ect. have probably allowed reserve seat people to re-sign later and are still counting them..

1 swallow doesn't make a summer...I wont be there tomorrow (I'm driving along the coast).

Nevertheless, they must be hearing something from someone at the club and not Ratts obviously...and I'm interested in what I experience in January.

Membership: Carlton's membership tally stood at 20,250 on December 23. That figure was higher than at the same time last year when the club was still dealing with the fallout from its decision to part ways with fallen star and fan favourite Brendan Fevola.
