have talked to barnesy and he has said we will get this going if we get enough people interested write on here if you would be?

Ok will give it a go:

Last year I asked the mods to advise me if they could mass PM forum members who have played before (I would supply the list) to make it easier for me, however I got no response, so this is my approach:

1. Create a list of names.
2. Seek to be able to mass PM those names to create interest.
3. Seek dates - Sun 12th Dec / Feb 13th (one or both - determine interest)
4. Venue to be determined (Gosch's usually the go)
5. Blues v Demons or round robin??
6. Field Umpires / Goal Umpires organised
7. Teams must be as even as possible

10:30 start

Quarters

2 x 20 min
2 x 15 min

Round Robin

2 x 20 min

What we require from you guys:

Dec 12 - yes or no
Feb 13 - yes or no

In conjunction with the other forum/s we will determine structure

Me and a couple of mates are interested, but not on the 19th as that's when our work Xmas party is on.....keen to have a runthis year as the the last few I have carried injuries :mad:

I've set up a new Forum Footballer usergroup. If you would like to be added just let me know, or if I've set it up correctly Barnsey should be able to manage the group as well.

This will also allow bulk PMs to be sent to all users on the list, so if you want to in or out of the group just say the word.

Hi guys,

The concept of Forum Footy has been around for a few years.

As the years have progressed we have had good games and challenging games.

The dynamics have also changed:

players/forums/venues/ one on one games / round robins etc

Those that have played recognise the thrill and excitement of having numbers and winning, and the difference between having low numbers and getting a flogging.

During the last few years I have put my hand up to assist in organising our games, but have recognised gaps in being able to be effective. Hence this user group 'Forum Footballer' has been created. Its purpose is to allow me (at this stage) to drive understanding of the group (background), the concept (Forum Footy) and build a list of members who can assist in channeling message content that goes out.

I ask a number of things of you all:

1/ If you know someone interested in playing / umpiring / scoring / water boy etc get them listed
2/ If you have Carlton mates who are not on the forum then sign them up to the site
3/ Help ensure that we have at least 25 - 30 possibilities each game

The view is to have (off season) 2 - 3 games of forum footy - be that one on one or round robin style.

So that is the intro, help me help us and be one in our representation of Carlton, the site, and ourselves in this concept, it is fun, it real and it is here.

Yes I have been responsible for having it created, as it allows me to PM to the group, but i have done this to bring in a number of members to help so that it is sustainable with or without my input.

yes, I think 30 is the number that will earn you guys your first ever win against the dees...

player for player, you have always had more talent, we have just had more numbers...
