I received my membership renewal yesterday and was delighted to see a few changes for the better.
Members, depending on how long they have been a member, will be entitled to discounts at the Carlton shop. I qualify for a 15% discount.
I also noticed that members now get free entry to Bullants home games.
Well done Carlton.

We got free entry to games at Princes Park for Bullants this year, but not at Preston.

According to the club website Carlton has 10,511 members as of today. Anyone know how this compares to last year?

Not sure but we are lagging behind quite a few clubs - Filth (over 30K already), Scum (20Kish), Hawks (25Kish), Dees (16Kish) and Tigers (what?) (12Kish).

However I assume a lot of these numbers are mostly made up of automatically rolling over memberships.

Reserved seat holders have until mid December to renew their seats so it will hopefully jump up after that.

Also don't forget there are quite a few pets in Victoria, so that explains the Hawks...

I got rung up on Sunday by a woman who said she was ringing on behalf of the "Haw...errr Carlton football club."

I was pissed off, told her I wasn't interested in winning $30K (a lie) and told her to go away.

I'll renew in my own good time. The email is sitting unopened in my inbox awaiting my whim.

I was an AFL member with the Carlton club support until the AFL raped the Blues in 2001. I cancelled and became a CFC member on the spot. Since then then I have renewed membership annually for the family without a second thought through thick and thin when renewal became due. All members should do the same thing. I am getting sick of the fair weather mob and we have our fair share.

I renewed and did the same for the old man yesterday.

Tally is now 11,434 which is still miles behind most clubs!

Renewed via rollover. So I know the lagging ain't my fault.

Are people still THAT sore over losing Fev?

Just logged on to renew my not yet 2 year old niece's membership and the price has gone from $45 to $72.

Ah, nice. They kindly added a blue believer componant to it. I wonder how many people automatically renew without realising that? It takes a little bit of work to find the screen to view/edit your invoice.

I know this Collingwood supporter up here in Sydney who had a good joke played on him a few years ago. Apparantly somebody gave his name to the Carlton membership department and they had sent him up an application form. He was'nt amused and the culprit was never known.

Dad and I sign up every year, but we always do it in late February. Its just become a birthday present for me. It's funny when the membership department rings, we stress nothing will change, always in Feb etc.

Will sign up in about a month's time. Shouldn't expect to have too many members this side of the new year, with Christmas coming up and the rest of it.

Compared to Collingwood 33k / Hawthorn 30k / Essendon* 26k.
