What the hell happened to Swanny talking about us only playing in navy blue.

Thats shocking!!!!

There's as much navy blue in this jumper as there was in our white away strip

Swan was just on SEN and he said:

They had to get a new clash jumper as a lot of other teams are getting a lot of white in their clash jumper
We would love to wear navy every week but we cant
They tested the jumper and spoke to supporters etc and they liked it
Its similar to Sturt
Unfortunately not all clubs get different colours so therefore traditional clubs need to change colours
He reckons that all the draftees are going to play games next year

Pfft...we had white as a primary colour on our clash guernsey first...

If other teams missed the boat because their club couldn't get their shit together and organise a suitable alternative strip, then tough!

I am slightly confused here. Swann said that we changed because many other teams are now wearing white in their away jumpers. When we play these teams one will be wearing their traditional jumper and only one will be wearing the white one. Its not as if two teams will both wear the away jumper.
the horrible shorts are the real killer, hope we dont wear light blue socks too.

Yeah - on closer inspection the top is OK, like the navy down the side.

But the shorts? EURGH.

Navy shorts would have been nice, or at least having a big navy stripe down the sides.

Imo we seem to be caught up in having the clash jersey as far away from navy as possible. Cant say I'm a huge fan of baby blue and for the life of me dont see why we wouldnt go for a darker but non-navy blue

as an example - the blue here http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl= ... 09&bih=809

The AFL would say that colour would still clash with WC, Freo.

Can't see why we can not still wear our White away shorts with the new strip

Looks like weve gone from the strongest and boldest jumper in the league to a lollypop candy marketing wankfest

I think what an elephant excreted in this picture is the colour we are aiming for in of "our" next "clash" guernsey..a more natural brown colour... or is this what I think of the current "clash" guernsey?

Our aim surely must be to play in every colour except navy blue.

I can hear our new club soong...

We are the Baby Blues
We are the newly made Baby Blues
The AFL wouldn't have it any other way
We're their wipping boys from Visy Park way.......

Nothing wrong with our Dark Navy Blue jumper.

If Collingwood can change their strip sizes then we could do something along those lines.

Some white on the sides or a bigger insignia, but leave our colour to represent The Old Dark Navy Blues.
Nothing wrong with our colour, but there's heaps wrong with the Baby Poo Blue.

They might, but it is a great colour.

White shorts are a must to have with this strip.

Jeez I don't know. To me, our colours are navy blue and white.

On that basis, the old clash strip was fine. Of course, it doesn't even approach the navy blue strip, but it kept to the same colour world.

To my knowledge, we've never had light blue on our uniforms other than putrid, one-off marketing gimmicks.

I don't like the fact we've moved outside our colour world.

Put me down for a 'NO' to this one.

And seriously, Swanny. We ahd to move away from white because other clash jumpers were white? What sort of bullsh*t is that? Because of course we'd be fighting with other teams for the right to wear a white strip against each other. My god.

REally? I thought Carlton only had one colour. Navy Blue.

Geelong is Navy and white. North is Blue and White.

What colour is the ribbon in the player's hair going to be? Pink or a matching baby blue.

Intial reaction - OMG, so SOFT! Of all the colours, the ONE we know doesn't work is the M&M fiasco colour....
AND I firmly believe that we had the best away strip with the white... by a mile!

However, I am also surprised by the number of TCers who like or don't mind or prefer to the white - if most people are happy, I will submit to that (even though I can't see why...).
Wouldn't this strip be called the 'Two Blues'?

If we win the Premiership in that, it will carve out its own history.
