Yarran running last in a time trial is a cause for concern, as it says that his fitness is not great in a relative sense, which is likely to have an effect on his own, as well as the club's, on-field performances.
Yarran coming last only means something if you have past performances to compare it to. You need to understand where he is at in his physical development or what he may have had done or not done in the off season.
Would you be happy if he came last and took a large chunk of his PB for the park. It's all relative and those that beat up on players and or staff without the facts are just sad sack, bottom lip droppers of the finest order.
Regards CazzesmanI thought that was a good response from Cazz.
I can't see where Cazz slurs Blues2005 and imo is referring to posters who beat up on players and staff without the facts.
I don't think he's directly attacking Blues2005. It's easy to believe he is though...if you want to.
I am concerned with Yarran's fitness level too, and that's without any of the facts.
If Cazz told me I shouldn't be too concerned because I don't have all the facts on Yazz then I'd say he's probably correct.
Yeah sometimes Cazz does lose his cool but that's passion like the rest of us show at times.
What I'd say about Yarran is what I expect of him in 2011, and I'm expecting him to cement a position on the HF line and improve on his output, including goals kicked and goal assists. He may be a selected as a sub a few times till he develops his stamina.
Yes it's early days, but I haven't heard that he's been injured since the Sydney final and I'm hoping he's doing plenty to improve his fitness...and I'm expecting to see that in the 2011 post xmas time trials. He's got 7-8 weeks to improve that and that's plenty of time if he's diligent.
