The person who gets it should at least be capable of playing every week if he is an existing listed player. No guarantee on Collins there. Or Ellard. Or Casboult. Or Touhy.

If not, give it to a newby and let him make his own history. Or not.

For me it will forever be Jezza's number. Nobody else will be able to surpass his exploits in it in my lifetime unless I live longer than any of my ancestors has done in recorded history.

I think Ellard is going to be a huge player for the Blues this year with Grigga and Hads no longer a part of the midfield and who knows if Brock's body is going to stand up to the pressure.Juddy's going to love Ellard giving him a chop out,he showed plenty in the last few rounds and puts his whole heart into each and every game, give #25 to this bloke and watch him shine.

Go Blues!!!

i'd prefer to wait or give it to a brand new 3rd round recruit as 'just another number' than to 'reward' a young up and comer struggling to keep their heads in the top 22...

To answer the question in the thread title correctly, I propose one of Walk's, Gibb's, Bett's, Hoop's, or Carrot's.

Of course, we could go the other way and give it to Okeefe or Ohailpin.

Strangely enough; only 4 of the 29 Carlton players who have worn #25, have played over 100 games.

Who do we give number 25 to next year? Surely we won't keep it in cotton wool again.

Do we give it to one of our upcoming new draft picks?

Do we give it to Andrew Collins or Jeremy Laidler?

Or do we give it to either a Simon White or David Ellard who have high numbers. Don't think White should change as he carries a number that's held in high regard at Carlton.

I think Ellard would look quite good in number 9, so my nomination is it to give it to either Laidler or our International rookie Zach Touhy who I think will end up being a very good player for us.

Discuss if you wish :thanks:

I'm sure that whoever gets it will play much better than if he had another number, because the number makes a big difference to performance. :?

We have to keep moving forward and use #25 and #24 asap.

Create a new legend from next season!!

I think you will find Brock is taking 14 as his grandfather/uncle played in it.
7 will be free now
