Heard a horrible rumour that we are changing to a sky blue away top. Can anyone else confirm? Personally I liked the gold one from the Lance Armstrong fundraiser a couple of years back.

I reckon sky blue (or M&M Blue?) would be an improvement over the current white. The canary yellow strip was horrible though.

I'd like to see somebody do up a Navy Blue jumper with white side panels - that might be close enough to our real strip but still have enough white to provide an easy contrast to the Scum/Tiges/Crows.

Otherwise maybe a silver strip?

I remember the picture in the paper when they did the presser a few weeks before the game = it did look a pretty nice gold. But when I watched the game on telly they looked canary yellow to me.

Seem to remember that Juddy wasnt much of a fan of it either/

I'm pretty sure you're missing a word in that quote though.

The white strip is brilliant. I hope we keep it.

I don't mind the white strip either, to be honest. And I think, of late, we've actually got a pretty good wining record in it as well.

I have also heard we might be changing the away strip, though, so hopefully they don't cock it up, seeing as most people reluctantly approve of the current one.

The white strip is fine

The best away strip would be a silvery/gun metal grey colour with navy blue monogram...and the mongram should be 10% larger as dark on light gives the illusion that the dark is smaller than what it really is

Please keep it simple.

The reason why our jumper is the best is cause its uncluttered. No side panels, no piping.....NOTHING just a contrast of what we already have

SILVERY / GUN METAL GREY AND NAVY BLUE MONOGRAM PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Can someone draw it on MS Paint???????

The one thing that the AFL has to do is get consistent and make ALL teams have a proper away strip. This year there were games that Essendon* was the away team (against WCE for example) and WCE wore a white strip. The Collingwood away strip is the same strip that they used to wear a couple of decades ago. Watch the 1990 replay and the jumper they wore then is virtually the same as their supposed away strip. In fact if Collingwood hadnt changed their strip to what it is now there wouldnt be as many jumper "clashes".
It wasnt fair that St Kilda had to wear an alternate jumper in the GF. Imagine if Melbourne and Carlton play off in a GF soon and one of them has to wear a white jumper!

I think someone drew this one up a few years back. I agree 99Prelim it looks the goods. Providing it still doesnt clash with any jumper i would be all for having it as our away strip for the next few years.

I think I remember Melbourne wearing silver for a while.

It looked very dodgy.

Yeah that pisses me off. Just make it bloody consistent and enforce it for all teams equally.

And I also like the white strip. It's simple. Hope they don't mess with it too much if it changes.
