Bondi I think you're getting a bit carried away.

On the delistings; I agree with all except O'keefe. I would have like to have seen him get an opportunity to show his stuff. But, if the club has some arrangement that he drops down to the rookie list, then i can live with that.

Frankly, the 99 games thing is a bit of beat-up. It's unfortunate, but in reality you could make a case for Fish being delisted at the end of either of the previous two sesaons.

He should be proud he got to 99, not sad he missed 100.

Yeah probably.

Just letting off a bit of steam.

I love and support Ratts, but on this I am really irty on him...forever.

I guess I like the thought of karma, revenge...you know...those sort of things. I'm a fan of Robin Hood too. Malcolm X wasn't all that bad either.

I'll get over it in 2011, but I will not forgive Ratts for doing it when he didn't have to. I'll haunt him when I get the opportunity.
People have to learn....sometimes its the hard way. That's the cost. There's always a cost.

I agree, Bondi you are getting carried away. It would be great for Fish to get to 100 but at the end of the day, the clubs bigger than the individual.
I think that's what makes a milestone so valuable, they're not just handed out, you have to be good enough to get them

Bondi you're having a big day!
IIRC O'Keefe came to us from Adelaide's list and the important thing is if another club is likely to pick him up. It seems unlikely if two clubs have now delited him. I hope we rookie O'Keefe.

I've said it before, Fisher had his chances to play 100 ... shit happens unfortunately for him.

No easy games at carlton these days. Fisher being a club leader would have been first to push this message.

It didnt work out for him and the 100. Sad but life goes on.

Not doubting anyones info on here, but I'm not so sure he has got a contract yet.
I know this doesn't sound very credible :sly: but my mate grew up with Anderson up North.
I sent him a message saying he got a new contract when I read it on here. He then sent a text to Joey to congratulate him.
Joey called him back and didn't know what he was talking about. Unless Joe has been told to keep it quiet until the club decides to announce list movement??

Either way we'll find out soon. I think he will get another 2 years.

Turns out Joey knows more than his uncle does
Hope he gets rookied

It was Joey's Grandfather Jimmy that I spoke to. he is a good mate and would not deliberately mislead me. I assume that he must have been mislead. And... yes Jake, unfortunately Joey did know more than his grandfather.

I hope he gets rookied or picked up by another club. And I am not going to post any hearsay on here again

May not use 67 or 70 in the ND and keep 2 spots open - one for PSD and one to elevate a rookie in the new year but will probably use one of those.

O'keefe didn't come from Adelaide's list did he??
I thought we drafted him just after he turned 18?

Love your work Bondi but you must be a bit tired and emotional tonight? The club gave Brad his chance but he couldn't grasp it, sad but true, nothing for Ratts to be concerned about, I can't see Ratts getting too far in convincing Icke, etc to give Brad another 12 months at $150k?? just so he can play one more game. Good luck to Brad.

Get over it Bondi - it's not Ratten's fault that Fisher has had pin-legs ever since we drafted him. It's not Ratten's fault that Fisher has not improved his kicking in 8 years on our list. It's not Ratten's fault that Fisher always went to ground in a 1-on-1 contested poessesion scenario. It's not Ratten's fault that Fisher never developed a defensive bone in his body. He was a professional footballer FFS - yet he didn't improve in 8 years on our list. It was a miracle he got to 99 games, wouldn't have made it to 10 games if he was drafted by Lions, Eagles, Swans or Cats. Harsh, but that's the reality. IMO, the only thing that should haunt Ratten in regards to BF is that he didn't delist him at the end of 2009.

This hysteria over Fisher missing out on 100 is embarrassing. And what's weirder about it is everyone knew fish would be moved on after this year, yet it's apparently a bolt from the blue :screwy:

Correct, only drafted after the U/18's champs that year (though from Adelaide). Never on their list.

Yep to leave a bloke strandard on 99 games is very harsh. Fisher must be feeling gutted tonight.

It was the beard. He had to lose the beard, but no he wanted to keep it. Serves him right.

In the end, Fisher is a shame. Injuries ruined his career. I remember his knee injury at OO and he was on fire back then. after this injury, he lost his kicking penetration and his zip.

By your own admission you would have delisted Fisher when he'd played 80 odd games a couple of years ago but when Ratten delists him on 99 he's a prick? The reasons he were delisted were the reasons he couldn't get a game. Our record against Geelong was pretty good prior to the last game. We were in a shitfight for a finals spot. But according to you we should concede defeat against a team we smashed earlier in the year before the game begins and play someone who is clearly not in our best 22.

Sad to see Fish and Joey go. Watching from afar some blokes just earn your respect.

Will always remember Fish's one grab plucks when a bloke of 80kg in the middle of a pack had no right to pull it in.

Joey's highlights reel is not so long, but going back in front of a leading Jonno Brown goes straight to the top of the list of things that you want your new recruits to do. Reckon he may have deserved another year to prove himself.

Thanks for your efforts guys.

Good luck to the fellas for the future.

Just on the Fish thing. I think he'd rather be remembered as the bloke who gave his all for 99 games for the club, then the bloke who was given a charity game....

Bit of a side thing. When Tyson Edwards was dropped from the Crows, he spat the dummy, pulled the pin, refused to go back to West Adelaide to gain form and said that's it, and had a sook, and wanted a farewell game. The Crows gave in to his drama queen effort and he got his game. However the other Crows blokes ( Goodwin, McLeod and to a lesser degree Burton) all said they DIDN'T want a farewell game, and if the time is up, it's up.

Guess which Adelaide bloke didn't get a mention for the rest of the AFL season. Yep one Mr sooky Edwards. He'll be remembered as a sook, not as a 300 gamer.
