Who do we give number 25 to next year? Surely we won't keep it in cotton wool again.

Do we give it to one of our upcoming new draft picks?

Do we give it to Andrew Collins or Jeremy Laidler?

Or do we give it to either a Simon White or David Ellard who have high numbers. Don't think White should change as he carries a number that's held in high regard at Carlton.

I think Ellard would look quite good in number 9, so my nomination is it to give it to either Laidler or our International rookie Zach Touhy who I think will end up being a very good player for us.

Discuss if you wish :thanks:

Just give it to the next guy who looks capable of kicking 100 goals at FF, dominating when playing anywhere else and might one day want to coach us to a Premiership.

If they meet these fairly modest criteria, then #25 is theirs.

I think something a little outside the square - give it to Davey Ellard.

Shouldn't have to give it to a FF or a forward.

I'd give it to Andrew Collins. We traded his uncle, Peter Francis for Frank Marchesani and gave Marchesani #25....so to give Collins #25 somehow has a nice ring to it.

Get over him mate...it's a number, and he certainly wasn't our best in it.

I'd prefer to keep it on ice another year. Only when the taint of Fev has worn off for good, and it's known again as Jezza's number will the time be right IMO.

Someone else beside Jezza wore it?

Also the no.25 was worn by Ben Sexton for Carlton who is from Bendigo like Collins.

You're in form Doc...keep it up; it's the off season.

Can you do it for another 4 months?

At least we know we've got the Draft in Nov and the PSD in Dec before we start really scratching for inspiration.

I guess after all that our list will be inspiration enough. I get off on it; in my view they're still babies.
We don't have a veteran on the list.
The oldies in 2011 will be Scotland 30, Houla 29 and a few turning 28 (Judd, Carrots, Hadley, TBird & Waite)
...of which Judd and Waite should be playing in our next premiership team...............fingers crossed
...and maybe Carrots if we win it in 2011.

Keep it up Doc....and make sure I'm not a target :sly:

Yes he did.....I might still have a newspaper clipping somewhere with an article and photo

of Ben Jesaulenko; aged about 14 in a Carlton guernsey.

He was supposed to have some talent; but like David Walls and Michael James; had too much to live up to; and disappeared from the footy scene.
