The interesting/unknown factor with Alan Richardson is that he built his reputation on his expertise in developing young players.

From what I read, we've poached him for a broader role... one that would no longer be open to him now that Hird has taken the reins at Essendon*.

It's obvious he doesn't want to be pigeon-holed as this generation's Slug Jordan, and wants a senior gig one day. I guess we'll see in time whether he's as good at the rest of the coaching thing as he is with the development side of the job.

Still, good people are good people and you can't have too many of them. Provided you use them properly.

One of the filths favourite sons and one of the toughest and mentally strong half back flankers from the 90's!!!!!

The way you're all carrying on about Richardson you'd think he's a Lebo or something.

Gavin Brown.

(At least, that's the conclusion I got to by adding 1 and 1 and getting 3.)

Sh1t, that would cause some consternation down in Pieland.

Hope they are successful, otherwise we have to put up with all that "what the flower would those magpie wankers know, we need Carlton people".

Good move if true, at last some real heavyweights in the box.

There are also rumours that Teague will be joining the Eagles coaching panel. It was mentioned on SEN this afternoon and also mentioned here : http://www.sportsnewsfirst.com.au/artic ... et-teague/

Anybody else hear this?

Just on other sites like this one.

It would appear that we may be going for assistants with strong CV's to bolster the coaching staff. Teaguey might not make the grade yet.

Woosha chews through a few assistants, someone has to take the fall you see.

A few posters have been calling for us to "get someone like Alan Richardson" for years!

 I hope they approve of this.

Great get, well done Sticks, Swanny, Icke and Ratts!
