Hope so.

No you dont. You hope we get rid of him within 2 years.

Why not give him a chance before you label him a dud?

I just hope the club has had a look at some more detailed and sophisticated performance indicators than we are privvy to regarding the appointment of Barker.

The general consensus publically appears to be that he is no good, and the overall performance of the Saints and Hawks whilst he was there backs that up.

I'm starting to wish we'd kept Lappin!

Hopefully he has an exemplery history in term sof conversion on forward 50 entries and forward defensive structures, especially from kick ins. Hopefully.

:yikes:

Of course I hope he's good. I want premierships.

I'm just a little worried though, due to the fact that not many St Kilda or Hawthorn supporters reckon he's any good (although I do admit not many supporters have any idea if assistant coaches are any good or not).

Yet you're prepared to pre-judge barker as a dud based on what St Kilda and Hawthorn supporters think?

:?

I think the Hawthorn forward strategy was 'kick it somewhere near Buddy'. Barker'll earn his money if he comes to Carlton. The main thing with the assistants is to get it right. We have been rebuilding for ten years. We'll be rivalling Chairman Mao for five year plans soon. Young players are jumping ship, coaches are coming and going. Do we have a clear strategy for the future or are we making it up as we go along. Everyt night Ratts must send out prayers and gratitude for Juddy, because without him we would be a very ordinary side.

Not sure. Apparently Barker hasn't been signed yet, the article that said he was was wrong.

Kris Massie, Former Blue Boy & Crow.

Coached the super talented Glenelg U18's to the flag yesterday. Has a good career ahead of him in the coaching ranks. Very highly regarded by all that dealt with him this year, and the young Tigers respect and follow his game plan & tactics to the tee.

Would be a good get, as a coach/mentor for the young Blues

its not the fact we missed out on the solarium twins but given we released 3 of our assistant coaches a while ago we seem to be taking an eternity to sign even one of them ... that is what makes me nervous
