The club invited me and a small group of others in last Monday to brainstorm ideas and methods to make the clubs presence on social media bigger.

Basically what I gathered from the meeting is that the club is getting serious about making Carlton FC the biggest and best club.

So good to see them getting on the front foot and setting this up where supporters and members ideas can be heard and voted on to give the club an idea of what we really want.

Play Sauce, Warnock and Hampson in the same game, so Hampson can stay in the forward line :-)

Link the match day thread to the Facebook page. That should go well....

On a more serious note, I always thought that the old 'radio station bumper sticker promo' would relate well to social media... something that encourages members/fans to show off the Carlton brand in their profile photos (as opposed to wallpapers, skins, etc which would best be described as preaching to the converted).

Viral games are rad too but, yeah, different kettle of fish.

Hold a members only 'National Draft Night' (similar to what Richmond and Hawthorn do).

Where the Recruiting Staff answer questions about players and types of players we may be targeting (without giving too much away).

Have an advisory sounding board(not made up of board members but a cross section of members etc and say a limited number ie 10 ) to which the board consults to test ideas policies club direction etc- has two benefits board can test ideas before implementing them and can be a pool of talent that the club can select future board members

As an interstate supporter that would like to be a member but can't justify the dollars for full memberships as I only get the opportunity to go to Melb a couple of times a year and not always when we are playing a special discounte interstate membership package would be great

From memory, I think this was mooted at the session on Monday night.

Oh goodness, surely not.

Last thing they need is for some wannabe recruiter telling them they have to take Talia or Panos with pick 12.

I'd like to see them take more ideas on marketing, memberships etc.
