If he was a god defender he would be played there IMO

OK so you saw him play one bad game.........guessing that Jamo, Bower and T-Bird have never been taken to the cleaners either??

It amazes me that people can judge on one bad performance with Carlos and conveniently forget the times that he actually had success. All defenders have been found wanting and I am suggesting that Jamo and Bower have been found wanting several times this year. They get pushed around far too easily and are exposed one on one.

Personally I'd have Carlos as CHB where his speed and mobility can also be an asset going forward. He just needs the support of the coach and his team mates to play him there.

How many bad games have you seen him play at CHB?

About 3 or 4, out of 3 or 4

Is Trengove contracted next year? Does he have a desire to get back to Melbourne? If he isn't and he does then Port won't have a choice but to trade, maybe not with us but someone.

Port sign all of their ND interstate recruits to 3 year deals IIRC.

Trengove is still contracted.

It s***s me to tears the rubbish that some people go on with.

Austin and O'Keefe are most likely going to be delisted.

We need to draft 5 or 6 key position players and hope that one turns out to be Michael Sexton or Ian Aitken. These are the only Centre Half Backs that have been any good for us in the last 20 years.

If you want a big, strong CHB there are only 3 possibilities I can see on our list.

Setanta, who has done the job a few times with limited success. Unfortunately, he has been with the Ants for many weeks, some suggest he is carrying an injury and he missed last week with a "virus";

Austin, who has never really done the job in the seniors, is probably not big or seasoned enough anyway, and hasn't played seniors all year;

or Hampson, who, as far as I know, has never played as a defender in his life.

If you must play one, it has to to be Setanta.

My view is, for this week at least, we go with what we've got - Bower.

But, yes "We need a gun CHB" - a big, strong one.
